Yana was born in a wealthy, prosperous family in Moscow, raised mostly by butlers, maids, servants and other relatives. In search for a life away from her father's political life, and mother's drama–filled social life, Yana used their vast amounts of wealth to enroll into Medical School.

After receiving her various Degree's, she moved to Pinewood, isolating herself from the life her parents had constructed for her and becoming the local doctor. By day, she worked endlessly, patrolling pinewood, assisting in hospice care for the elderly, and tending to civilian casualties amidst the various wars fought between The UN, The Militia, and The Military . Being the only medical personnel in the entire village, the mayor entrusted her to create the foundation of medical education, but his funding wasn't enough, she turned to dealing guns, believing an armed civilian populace would deter the threat of the military and the militia's endless fighting. Turns out illegal weapons can only do so much against Tanks, Airstrikes, and whatever that weird looking deer thing is.

A gun dealer by night, she built relationships with the local dealers, earning a reputation of being an honest and fair dealer, something not very common in the underground. Undercutting the competition was not appreciated by most.... except for the mysterious salesmen. Attracting the attention of MC&D, she learned vaguely of the occult's existence. Yana became a key asset to Marshall, Carter, and Dark Ltd. By selling her weapons cheaply, whether it be out of kindness, or naivete, she drove off the local dealers, allowing MC&D to manipulate her into selling conventional firearms exclusively to them, in turn leading to massive profit margins. Who better to sell cheap firearms to than the insurgency? They'll just give them to D Class after all.

Yana may not have caught onto MC&D's plans immediately, but she knew, they were using her, which only allowed for her to exploit it. Being now, the only gun dealer in the area, with the connections and the means to trade in conventional weaponry, she turned to bartering; Classified Information, Uncovering the reasons for the local conflicts, even small... insignificant questions about MC&D's wares, the deals were struck, and she learned all she needed to know: "The Foundation, The Chaos Insurgency, and The United Global Occult Coalition" all with different missions, but only one appealed to her: "The UNGOC".

Wanting to prioritize her motivation in helping others, she joined the only group that wasn't making that actively difficult. Military life was never something she thought of pursuing, but something about joining a top secret ghostbusting force and protecting her new home was luring.

With the intention of becoming a medic, she underwent extensive medical training; Learning the secrets of the occult and various paranormal entities that are in the immediate area, she became overwhelmed, this was too much all at once. After taking a couple days of leave, having been supported by her newly found comrades, they asked:

"Yana, if not medical, what would you like to do? You have options here, clearly, you are capable, all you need to do is to tell us and we'll make it happen"
