Crashing when trying to join server

Title says it all really, when i try and join it get all the way to the lua files part then it crashes

What version are you playing on?

Used to have the same problem til I switched to x86-64 Chromium

You can switch it by going to properties on Steam Gmod and then betas

does anyone know how to fix this??

I keep crashing, when I crash there is a pop up reading "Engine Error" I have validated my files, got every windows update + drivers yet it is still fucked
