What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Change the ruling for 1.17, wherein a person cannot hold another senior position while also being unable to be a UNGOC LT. CI members can make it to DELCOM while holding a Senior Position, I don't see why the same cannot apply for UNGOC.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Unsure, possibly.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Allows current senior position holders to get to GOC LT without breaking any rules.
Makes the ruling align with CIs BCOM+ limit.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
I believe the rule is to allow more non-senior position holders to access GOC REGCOM and to reduce burnout for senior position holders, so of course this is a negative if it was increased.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Currently, UK GOC needs more COs, and I believe this would have a minimal negative effect. If someone is burned out on GOC, they can make an LOA/ROA, or even just resign from the position. If this needs to be tested beforehand, then go ahead.
