Not many comments here, was quite a dickhead in the past and hoping to move on from it.

Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
I am applying for this position as I feel as I'm ready to take a step into the next chapter in medical.
I want to contribute more than I am now, by aiding the department with licensing and administrative work. I have enough time on my hands to be actively on site providing medical with the consistent care and attention that it deserves meanwhile creating new and exciting roleplay for my fellow Doctors! To add more though I do wish to gain more experience in Site-65, I have thoroughly enjoyed being a Doctor and a Senior Doctor with all the responsibilities they bring however (you might know this if you read my Registrar suggestion) I think that there is a lot more I can do and want to do, I want to be more involved in the creation of wider RP while learning the ropes of CL4 duties!
-
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
Phew, tough question to answer when talking about myself ahah, I think I'd be well suited as I'm pretty energetic, I have had many ideas that I would like to motion for as a consultant; I have a lot of RP scenarios planned for medical, a lot of RSDxMedical where GM assistance would be requested. I think all in all the reason I am applying is that I have fallen for medical, the gameplay loop isn't really a loop at all as there's always something interesting and odd happening (Mr. Halloway *cough*) and it's the department I've chosen to pour my love and time on.
-
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
Oooo! Alright so context, this is not a common procedure but it is one I had to do for a member of ethics and it was genuinely a blast to RP it! (it is cl4 so dont bite me emilya): This is the procedure of SCRAMBLE prosthetic eye recalibration!

Right!
Step 1: Unscrew the security screw on the chasis of the eye
Step 2: Push in the dome (eyeball) from below until you hear a click!
Step 3: Take the dome to a sanitary space and use a heatgun to warm up the adhesive
Step 4: Pry open the dome gently and look for the etchings alongside the cogs
Step 5: Gently with a silicone tipped tweezer push the cogs so they are aligned with the etching
Step 6: Make sure the inner-dome is aligned with the indent
Step 7: Apply a miniscule bit of silicon-based adhesive and gently push the domes into a sphere
Step 8: Re-attach the dome the same you took it off (Step 2.)
Step 9: Screw in the security screw and hope the person can see again!

This was honestly a blast, I failed a few rolls and had to RP out a fix meanwhile hoping the assistant doesn't charge me the $700,000 for the cogs! :D
-
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
There is infinitely more than what I will mention however these are to my knowledge the most common ones:
(A)
Licensing! One of their main responsibilities is to ensure that Medical Trainees are trained and ready for medical work!
Alongside standard licensing they are also expected to alongside CMS' train doctors into the field of Combat Medics!

(B)
Managing! Consultants are Junior CL4 personnel which are expected to be present in med-bay to sort out any issues or concerns anyone has over medbay while making sure our fridges are stocked up and ready for curing our personnel!

(C)
Inter-departmental relations! This is an important one, consultants are the first step in the ladder of medical when it comes to other departments concerns or questions, they are often the first to receive any complaints and/or cross-departmental testing requests!

(D)
Documentation! (one of my favorites) Consultants are expected to aid the medical department in the production and maintenance of medical-related documentation whether it be training guides, templates or policies/handbooks (and of course roster work (or so i assume :D))

-
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Bjoren Toreson was an aspiring physician for a small clinic in Canada, he had a soft heart for nature and animals and was out once in the woods on a city bordering the Saskatchewan province. While hiking he met 4 rather oddly-dressed agents of the foundation (he had no damn clue these were Nu-7) he quickly provided first aid to the injured one and was immediately restrained after and brung to Site-65 to be amnesticated and released. During the time it took for the Nu-7 to get the amnestics a Site Advisor was walking by, inquiring about this man he found out about his medical background! Bjoren was of norwegian decent so it was odd that he was here in the first place however after talking with Nu-7 they agreed to let the advisor interview Bjorn and question him. The advisor then through some light hearted joking ended up offering Bjorn a job as a Junior Doctor within Site-65, he gladly accepted it (mainly stockholm-syndrome as he was scared to death) and now is a Senior Doctor within Site-65, not much happens to Bjorn; he's usually quiet and remains to himself in medbay quickly giving people cures he keeps in his pockets although at times his demeanor and voice can suddenly shift, often due to overstimulation and loud voices.

+Support Bjorn is a great cowboy and a even greater medical staff I would love to see him get consultant! He was the first person ever to ask me for clairvoyance for medics and it was quite fun learning alongside him.

-support The way you have handled situations previously gives me the belief you should never hold a CL4 role unless you change the way you conduct yourself entirely. You are blacklisted from AO for photoshopping your warns, lying to regcom and harrassing FCOM members at the time to the point it became a severe OOC problem. You also have a habit for tending to pull rank which is not a good trait to have for someone aspiring to become a CL4. It has been a couple of months and I believe people can change but I have seen very little from you that suggests you have changed.

I have no idea how you were before your recent return but after interacting with you and seeing how you interact with others on site i'd say that I would outright stop playing medical if you were my cl4.
----------------------------------------
My personal expirience:
So I went on CM to just chill around and help with CM stuff near D block and what not. You forced me to go with you to help you with some experiment that you have planned even tho as I have explained to you D block had troubles and they called for medical.

Red Flag 1: You disregarded what your subordinate had to say over your own personal gain even tho respectfully medical duties in emergencies > SNR Doctors research.

After your D class that you've brought to your test inside medical center was uncooperative you returned to D block claimed that said D class was stupid (even tho i cant blame him for not wanting to help much when he doesn't even get !credit or money for his help) so you have went to find a new D class.
During your stay in the D-block I have seen you exclaim next comment in regards of D class as well as myself (your fellow medical personal that in this case was kinda your subordinate)

1st comment - "I can use brain dead" - after interacting with D class
2nd comment - "Alright guys you gotta stab this one" - when D class was uncooperative with you while standing in RSD line
3rd comment - "omg why are my combat medics are more useless than GSD somehow?" - when looking for help from a combat medics in d block as well as talking directly to a combat medic in d block

Red Flag 2: Insulting D class saying quite hurt full things
Red Flag 3: Inciting violance amongs D class as well as directing them to kill their fellow inmate
Red Flag 4: Openly hostile and rude towards your own subordinates as well as GSD that are just there to do their job (the 3rd comment)
----------------------------------------
I don't know what were your problems in your previous gameplay period on the server but from interacting with you for just 15 minutes I have already gathered enough to not want to be near you let alone be your subordinate.

Right, I don't usually respond to -Support's because it's peoples subjective opinion that they are free to have. But if you will sit here and lie spreading misinformation and things you got from a first glance I will not stand for it.

First of all,
Red Flag 1: You disregarded what your subordinate had to say over your own personal gain even tho respectfully medical duties in emergencies > SNR Doctors research.
That is just factually not the case. I asked you to remain as I am a non-combative with a d-class stuck in medbay because of a breached 912 and a Code 2. I can't escort him myself as he may break out and harm others so I asked you to stick around.

Second of all ^, if you're going to sit here and use inexperience as an excuse for lying then I rather you not speak at all on others actions. I as a senior doctor am incapable of !credit and went out of my way to run to a researcher and asked him to follow me all the way to d-block to credit the 2 d-class i tested on, and they both thanked me; just because you werent there doesnt mean it didnt happen.

Third of all, disrespecting d-class; while it is indeed mean it is not against the rules or at all something I will sit here and be insulted on when it's a character thing, if you're interested in understanding why it happened you should ask me IC instead of form OOC opinions on me as a person.

Regarding 1st comment, I asked a GSD CPT if the d-class was smart because I needed him for a medical trial, the CPT said "nah mate this one's braindead" so I said I can't use braindead and walked away.
2nd comment, I said that because he whispered that he had a gun and it was said as a clear joke noted by my tone of voice
3rd comment, i was talking to a CM friend in a joking manner yet again, if your feelings were hurt I apologize but dont take IC shit OOC mate.

Redflag 2 response: it's an RP server and people are free to insult d-class, if me calling one stupid was enough for you to have a go at me and start trying to prevent me from progressing IC then you have gotten a huge misunderstanding of what RP implies, wait till you meet Lunaris or other RP characters that dont respect d-class.

Redflag 3 response: ^^
Redflag 4 response: I was not hostile nor rude, I asked for help and you came with because that is your IC responsibility, you will not prioritize a Code 2 over helping a doctor that was left with a d-class against their will.

TLDR:
The issues I had in the past that made EVERYONE frown upon me and hate to talk to me was the same thing youre doing now, taking an IC personality trait of a character and putting it on the OOC player. It's almost like it's an RP server mate, I wont judge you or personally attack you but I do hope that you learn to understand the implications of Roleplay becuase if you will be like the past me and throw a fit everytime you meet an unpleasant person then you will get into a lot of trouble I can promise you that.

Cheers,
John.

I do not intent to invest more time into proving my point but since I was provided with more information I would like to conclude as well as explain my point from my previous response.

My point about me not willing to be a subordinate of a rude cl4 still stands. Yet doesn't dismiss for me that issue of your character just being unpleasant to be around due to how he acts. Idk why you are ignoring the fact that leaders shouldn't be openly rude to their subordinates but maybe thats another ooc issue.

if you dont find that problematic then take this as example; a medical trainee gets in touch with you and you comment some negative profanity about him in his presence or about your other subordinates. now what kind of idea will that give said trainee ? that youre openly rude to / about your subordinates and that instead of going to you they might go to someone else whos less openly hostile and more welcoming.

this is a leadership position and it requires ic as well as ooc positives out of which to this point i see only negative ic and ooc traits.

And to clarify some thing of which I just seen based of your response:
- I was not responding to a C2 I was responding to general request to medical aid which was in active combat scenario in the d block(there was no c2 announcement nor d block was over run) . idk when was the last time you read CM handbook but heres something from it that contradicts what you have said:
"Your priority as a Combat Medic will always be to heal and help any personnel that require medical attention. Your main focus will be healing injured personnel, especially in combat situations."
Please be sure you are on par with relevant medical guidelines when you are applying for leadership medical position.
- How you are handling my first hand criticism just serves as more proof of your ooc attitude problems which are;
1) You are extremely argumentative.
2) You clearly don't see the implications of your IC actions on how your IC subordinates perceive you.
E.G: Being rude to your subordinates is not a thing that will attract new members or help other members stick around medical.
3) You confuse IC responsibilities of your subordinates which shows lack of knowledge regarding CM procedures.

I wish you luck in your application Bjorn.

I am going to end this argument here after I clear some facts for future readers of this application as lying and defamation is not something I'll stand for.

You cannot ooc tie a character to a person as if that behaviour is what is to come, the Consultant character of mine (if I do get accepted) will as far as I'm planning not be the same as Bjorn. Furthermore your examples are illogical as it expects a character to not have bad days, it is RP; a character was having a bad day; deal with it. To call me argumentative after you interracted with me for <10 minutes and came on my application to publicly attack me is just not acceptable.

And to quote your Combat Medic handbook remark:
  • Senior Doctors are departmental personnel who have demonstrated a high level of work ethic, dependability, and proficiency. (Senior. Doctors very slightly outrank Combat Medics within the Medbay).
So when a senior doctor asks you to protect them and help them instead of running off, I'd prefer you help them instead of abandoning them with a literal death row inmate.

Mind you, if you had come to me IC and expressed that I was rude to you, you would have been met with an apology more sincere than you could imagine. However taking a singular IC interaction and then going to publicly attack someone on an OOC scale is not okay.

Tips:
Talk to me about it IC
Contact a CL4 IC
Contact SA IC

TLDR: Do not take an IC thing and create OOC bad feelings regarding it without even knowing if they are applicable as the character you met is not surely to be the character getting Consultant.

Honestly tho, to you personally; I apologize if my actions IC hurt you. It wasn't my intention, contextually I have had a bad day IC as I was stabbed and taken hostage 10 minutes prior and needed this clinical trial done fast because I was threatened, there was a lot IC that lead to that behaviour and I hope you can forgive me on an OOC scale, it wasn't personal; it was just RP and it may not have been enjoyable RP for you and for that I can only apologize and promise that I will try to keep such RP away from you so you can enjoy the server more.

Would you be worried if person was rude to you always IC, however after each rude meeting IC he would PM saying "I don't hate you OOC 😘"?

Everyone says "It's just character issue" until it happens to them.
You dude on everything I believe in I fully understand this, and I would be very worried if they were like that. But the problem is this guy talked to me for like 10 minutes and thinks he The Mentalist style deduced my entire OOC personality and my IC behaviour from like 10 minutes of "RP"???? 😭

I do understand your point. It's just that some people try to hide their rudness and hating of someone behind "character issue", i know everyone is not like that but just don't think it's all rainbow and sunshine here.
