What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
[It will give 049 a weak cane melee weapon to be able to hit people as a last resort that he can not turn into zombies]

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
[when 049 is trapped in an elevator with one hazard man and no zombies he will not be completely defenseless and/or when ERT arrives he wont become useless. or in situations such as lets say, being locked in a room with one hazard dude who is flooring him with a machine gun while 049 cant do anything apart from run around the room as the door is a level 1+ clearance level.
. As when you feel useless as 049 it becomes very unfun in breaches. it would also make 049 not completely useless when ERT arrives as he could whack them with the cane (like the stun stick 912 has) as it would be a weak alternative to making them a zombie but when you actually cant make people into zombies because either they decided to wait for ERT or because everyone who is firing at you has hazards on and you can do anything about it you can actually fight back with an SCP Lore accurate weapon that 049 has (see image below and link).
I feel as if giving 049 this cane it will make him a more valuable SCP to breach as he wont be defenseless in later parts of the breach or when ERT is deployed and zombies are hard to find at that point, or like the example I said earlier of being trapped in a room with a hazard suit man and not being able to even punch back at the person spraying you with a machine gun while you are completely defenseless, giving 049 a cane to wield will eliminate this issue though do not make the mistake of making this cane a good main weapon, as that is not the point of the cane and would make 049 over powered while using the cane, the cane should only be used as a secondary/last resort if you can not turn them into a zombie so making this cane a weak weapon would solve that issue.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
[I dont see many negatives with this IF ITS BALANCED CORRECTLY and make the cane VERY weak (like the 912 stun stuck), as it will give 049 a fighting chance against hazards but not OP by any means, so if somebody has a hazard on they are not 100% full proof against 049 and cant just have everyone wear hazards so the breach is essentially stopped (for example being locked in an elevator with a hazard suit, you cant really do much apart from just sit there and take the bullets)]

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
[I feel like this should be accepted, it will make it so hazard suit people will still need to be a bit careful when trying to contain him instead of just standing in place with a machine gun when 049 doesnt have zombies, and wont make 049 useless when ever the ERT arrives as he still can at least bonk them even if he cant turn them into zombies as many times as 049 when ERT arrives I have had to hide in a corner while the others fought because I could literally not fight back against the ERT]

/ Support (Neutral)

- Its an decently powerful SCP that is Supposed to use his zombies as Attack function.
- Could be too OP if the Cane is too strong (shouldnt be more than 45 - 50 dmg per hit)


- It could be good and cool for players that are new / have never played SCP-049
- Could help 049 to at least defend him in ugly situations

the Cane is going to be a weak weapon as its not meant to replace the zombie function at all. My idea is it will do the same amount of damage that the stun stick does but thats just my pondering, or maybe somewhere around there but just keep it a weak weapon. its just meant for a "I can literally do something, anything, against 1 dude who is draining my health that I cant escape because the door is a level 1 and im locked in with him" and/or a last resort

049 mid and he barely gets breached
one of the reasons I think he barely gets breached is he is horrible against anyone with a hazard and ERT when they arrive and for the most part cant fight back

I've had breaches where its essentially impossible to get zombies as everybody and their mothers have hazards on so you'll be running around the facility trying to loose them, slam doors in their faces, or run around searching for literally anyone while being rained down with gunfire by the hazard suit army, and when you do find 1 or 2 people they get shot before being able to turn and/or they get stuck in walls after they do turn and you essentially cant fight back at all apart from run like hell which isnt a very good plan as they'll just keep pelting you with gun fire until the containment ray man with a hazard suit gets up in your face to containment ray you as he knows you literally cant fight back against him

and if you do loose them, well thats more time for more people to put on hazard suits or have ECT called in so good luck fighting anyone when you get out of your hiding spot, furthermore the zombies you do get usually just run straight into gunfire but the ones that listen usually get killed at some point so its back to running away and trying to not have them insta killed before they turn as there isnt enough people to find without hazards to make a snowball effect and if the lobby is below 60 players or on like 56 or so you can get assistance from an SCP for cover you

I usually use Vietnam Ambush like tactics as it seems to work the best and scares people and usually cant call out where I am because they cant pinpoint it, but even then it runs out of time until it literally cant work because everybody put on Hazards or the one dude you tried to jump has a hazard suit so you either have to run away and hope you loose him while he pelts you with bullets or pray he is cross fired as most likely the site can hear the gunshots and will start enclosing on your position, and/or he has been chasing you for so long a small platoon of people are following you like you are selling ice cream and you eventually get shoved into a corner because being shoved backwards from the gunfire hit back the guns give and from the large number of people you get shoved into a corner and cant move or loose a few thousand health by the time you slip through a door and resume running like hell with this army of hazards, they eventually drain you down enough to beam as for the entire time they have been chasing you you could not fight back but could only run while being pelted by bullets as you are defenseless against this army of hazard suits who have been chasing you down like you have a 10k bounty on your head for the last 10 minutes

tldr: it really sucks to literally not be able to defend yourself at all against hazard dudes when you dont have zombies for one reason or another, and then an army of hazards chase you down for 10+ minutes pelting you and killing the one or two zombies you do manage to get until you can be beamed, this is why 049 should have a cane so not to be defenseless against this types of situations and can do a little a small amount of damage to them and have the possibility of taking down maybe 1 or 2 by themselves as of course you cant fight an army with a cane
