MILITARYRP GAMEMASTER APPLICATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
Original Steam login name (your accounts first ever name): Anti-tankspy
-
For how long have you played on CG MRP: About a year and a few days, though, I've been actively playing for about two months.
-
Age: 18
-
In what country are you located?: Egypt
-
Time zone: GMT +2:00
-
NATO name (regiment and rank): SAS CSM 30K (was called Tocha, formerly)
-
USSR name (regiment and rank): SHA PVT Tridtsat Tysyach
-
Civilian name: Sān wàn
-
Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:125660037
-
Do you have a mic?: I do.
-
Is this the first application you made? If no, link all previous applications: First application.
-
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
COMBAT JUMPING: Got warned for being involved in combat then jumping around a corner in order to kill an AG I was engaged in combat with.
RACISM: A warning given to me as a result of a joke going too far. I understand that this specific warning could be quite severe. However, It's been a relatively long time since I got that warning and I've learned to respect my limits since then.
BASE CAMPING: Given to me due to sniping a USSR that was behind the sign in front of the USSR base. I do admit that I didn't pay attention to the sign and I was instead focused on killing whoever it was that my scope was on. I've learned to pay attention to my surroundings in order not to repeat the same mistake again.
I do not recall being kicked/banned from the server as of the date of this application's submission.
-
Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster/Event Manager in a community?: I've had plenty of experiences in Garry's Mod, especially in MilitaryRP communities. My first time hosting events was exactly four years ago, on a community that's currently shut down. I've been to various other communities since then that I hosted plenty of events on, although it was mostly done in a senior staff/secondary Event Manager role instead of an official Gamemaster one.
-
Do you have any previous experience with serious roleplay?: I have quite a lot of experience with SeriousRP as I've been venturing into these servers ever since I've started playing Garry's Mod back in 2016. I've even been to 100% serious, hardcore roleplay servers that used to run custom schemas that are known as Clockwork and Nutscript, servers that were instead text-based that had voice chat disabled (these servers are still around rn so I won't go into too much detail :] ). I'm quite confident of my experience in SeriousRP in general and I believe I have a lot to offer when it comes to said topic.
-
How many hours can you be on everyday?: 3 hours at the very least, it all depends on the circumstances really, as there are days where I'm quite busy with college work.
-
Why do you want to become a Gamemaster on our server?: Unlike most MilitaryRP servers I've been to, CivilGamers has quite a civil (no pun intended) and respectful playerbase, which is something that is ironically very rare to find in servers that go down the same route. Simply put, CG's MilitaryRP is has a unique element of fun that is not found in most other servers. With that being said, accompanied by the enormous amount of custom content this server has, I see a lot of potential that could be tapped into and even enhanced with the right shots being called.
Besides this, like I already said, the community is quite civil and is full of wonderful people. Therefore, I would like to dedicate time and effort in order to make sure that the enjoyable experience people are having are preserved, and in the same time, think and look for ways to enhance that experience to make it even more likeable.
-
What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special over the other applicants?: Like I've already stated above, I have plenty of experience when it comes to military-oriented events. Accompanied with the pool of ideas I have for events, I'm quite sure and confident in my abilities that I will be a great addition to the Gamemaster team. I do my best to refrain from establishing hostile relationships with anyone and instead focusing all efforts towards the enjoyment of everyone involved, and take I take any chance to improvise should it present itself, as long as the endgame would result in a fun, unique and enjoyable experience.
EVENT INFORMATION
Please list 3 small event ideas (Which would involve at least one side of the server):
NATO/USSR:
As the Third World War intensifies globally, diplomacy is no more an option, and deals and agreements are instead made with pointless battles that are fought with weapons of mass destruction.
For reasons unknown, a rogue Chinese General of the People's Liberation Army has gone AWOL, aiming to establish an arms dealership ring in the region after defecting from China. Pitiful, yet another soul in the world that simply thinks about nothing but gaining wealth at the cost of people's lives. Unlike most arms dealers in the region, however, an entire mechanized infantry platoon from the PLA makes its way into Afghanistan under the General's leadership. Embarrassed, and not wanting to involve itself in the conflict between both sides, the Chinese Communist Party disavows the rogue General and requests the armed intervention of both NATO and USSR forces in the region.
NATO vs USSR:
Overstretched, under-supplied and under-manned, the forces of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization find themselves in a dire situation. The army of the socialist revolution from the East hailing onto them from everywhere, from Asia, even the Americas, all the way up to their homesteads in Europe.
Having no other choice to counterfeit the overwhelming numbers of the Soviet Union, All countries in the Western alliance are eventually forced to re-instate the draft, the very first time most nations of Western Europe were forced to reintroduce conscription ever since the days of the Second World War. With the front in Europe stabilizing however, efforts are focused elsewhere...
In Afghanistan, NATO wakes up from a victory, and slumbers into a defeat, then wakes up to another victory, and the cycle keeps on repeating itself. The Soviet Union itself suffers from the same cycle.
In a desperate effort to break this stalemate, the USSR's long time rival and Europe's only active ally, The United States of America, agreed to send a massive aid package to the armies of NATO stationed in Afghanistan in NATO, in the form of manpower and equipment. With the FSB catching note of this, UHC stationed in Afghanistan are immediately notified of the supplies that will be delivered to their enemies, as well as the suspected supply links that will be used to deliver the supplies. With NATO catching wind of this, Their forces in Afghanistan are allocated to the defense of the oncoming Soviet incursion onto their precious supplies.
USSR vs NATO:
Scoring strategic victories virtually on all fronts and having its morale flourishing, the newly re-established Soviet Union is very slowly returning to its former glory under Russian President Vladimir Putin, taken from it in the final days of the Cold War. With victory after victory, Putin's global reputation worldwide is bolstered; to his people and allies, Putin is seen as a hero. In the West, described as the 'shepherd of an empire of evil', as The Times magazine put it down. Today, ironically, the USSR finds itself fighting its long time rival in what was one of the main reasons of its dissolution decades ago, nicknamed as 'the Vietnam of the Soviets'; the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
In an attempt to end the battles there quickly, Putin comes up with a plan to re-establish the government of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, as a desperate measure to regain the trust of the Afghan people and drag Afghanistan over onto its sphere of influence. Establishing propaganda campaigns everywhere and rapidly advancing into the country, NATO evacuates politicians of the Islamic Republic, including the President and the Prime Minister to a classified location. With covert orders from U.S. President Barack Obama himself, NATO High Command is ordered to allocate their forces to dismantle the Soviet attempt to establish a communist government and destroy any propaganda campaigns set up by them in the region, attempting to bolster the presence of the government of the Islamic Republic.
Please List an Map change event idea (Involving both sides and the entire server):
OPERATION JOSEON
(NATO vs USSR)
(music added for immersion lol)
Korea.
(NATO vs USSR)
Korea.
A land that has found itself divided between two, opposing sides due to over 70 years of war. The Communist North, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, led by the infamous Kim Jong-Un, and the Capitalist South, the Republic of Korea, led by Lee Myung-bak.
World War III rages on globally. The militaries of the old time rivals, NATO and USSR, fight each other fiercely in order to preserve their pride and homesteads. The war intensifies everywhere, and the religious types who've prayed for a short-lived conflict are bitterly disappointed, as the death toll of the conflict rises everywhere.
In Korea, however, North and South, once again, find themselves on opposite sides. North and South fiercely fight each other over control of the peninsula over what used to be the Korean Demilitarized zone. Diplomats of both sides scold each other over who fired the first shot; however, that no longer matters, for the end result is the same: total war.
Finding itself mysteriously overwhelmed by Northern soldiers on its borders, the National Intelligence Service of South Korea manages to recover evidence of military support allocated to North Korea from both the Soviet Union and its long time ally, and perhaps the sole reason of its existence so far: the People's Republic of China.
Having recovered such vital intelligence, the government of South Korea immediately notifies the White House of recent military activities of the PRC. And with this, South Korea requests direct military and logistical support from its already overstretched and exhausted allies in the West: the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, all while publicly accusing the North of firing the first shots. Pyongyang decides to remain quiet on the accusations, however, it too requests direct support from both the USSR and China. In a move of friendship, both Japan and Taiwan allocate forces to the peninsula in order to assist with the defense of the South; However, Taiwan is eventually forced to back down after being covertly blackmailed and threatened of an invasion from China.
With the tensions rising and diplomacy not having any effect that is useful in the slightest, forces are relocated from various fronts to the peninsula; Both NATO and the USSR relocate their armies, navies, air forces, pretty much an element of everything to throw at the peninsula. No matter what side, it's finally time to bring the decades long conflict to an end and unify the peninsula under one rule.
One Korea.
REGIMENTAL MISSIONS
MP/FSB:
The Afghan National Directorate of Security manages to recover vital intelligence of local drug deals and locations of known arms dealers. With the local militia's courage in combat increasing due to the result of their newly found power, drug and weapon distribution are recently becoming massive issues, especially within the militaries of both opposing sides including the highly notorious Afghan National Army, both MP and FSB agree to work on a joint-operation to eliminate the drug lords and arms dealers, bringing an end to the rising militia and drug problems within their respective militaries, once and for all.
SAS/AG:
Ultranationalist elements of the Red Army have agreed to smuggle suitcase nukes into Afghanistan for a group of unknown origin; MI6 has presumed the group to be identified as the 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant', although, the technology reported to be in possession of the group is beyond that that is owned by known terrorist groups. The Special Air Service and Spetsnaz Alfa Group are ordered to work together on a covert operation authorized by both of their respective HCs in order to dispose of the Ultranationalist threats and have the suitcase nukes re-delivered back to Russia. They are additionally required to dispose of any evidence of this operation occurring while recovering intelligence of the emerging terrorist threat.
ISAF/SHA:
An unmarked B-52 carrying precious NATO cargo is shot down by the Russian Air Force over Afghan airspace, the plane and whatever it has stashed in it crash into West Town. Upon investigation from the local police, the cargo is confirmed to be a newly-researched prototype of an unknown weapon that is currently undergoing research by NATO, confirmed to be NATO property when U.S. Airforce markings were found all over the cargo. ISAF, as the frontline quick-reaction infantry regiment, is ordered to move immediately into West Town to recover the fallen weapon. On the other hand, the 3rd Shock Army is ordered to capture the prototype in order for Soviet scientists to analyze the weapon and attempt to reverse-engineer it to benefit the USSR.
JAF/ABT:
In the Soviet Union, research on experimental long range drones has concluded. In order to test the drones, they are deployed in combat against NATO forces in Afghanistan. The technology reported in the drones is identified as one of its type, sent to Afghanistan by the People's Republic of China as a gift of friendship to the Soviet Union. The drone cargo is shot down by NATO interceptors and falls down in Afghanistan, surprisingly intact. NATO High Command quickly catches wind of this. ABT quickly scrambles to deploy SAM sites around the crash site and secure it. In the ultimate challenge for air supremacy over Afghan airspace, both JAF and ABT duke it out in aerial dogfights and ground battles in order to recapture/destroy the drones before said SAM sites and a proper USSR defense line is established.
17th/10th:
An experimental EMP system developed in a joint Sino-Soviet project is to be deployed in Afghanistan to be used against NATO armored vehicles, which will render said vehicles to be useless in battles. In order to stop the impending threats onto its mechanized beast, the 17th quickly assembles everything in its disposal to prevent the EMP system from being fully operational and activated in the region. The only thing standing between the 17th and the EMP: An armored column of vehicles belonging to the 10th Steel Division.
