What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This would add more management into the site staff team and also bring in more operators. The main change is having more people in charge day to day, so problems with staff can be dealt with there and then instead of always having to go to the site manager. It also means new staff can be trained properly and helped along as they learn the role.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
People might have suggested adding more staff before, but this is more about how the team is set up. It’s not just numbers, it’s about having the right people in the right places so things actually get dealt with instead of going round in circles.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
– Issues with staff can be sorted quicker and don’t keep happening.
– More chances for people to move up and take on more responsibility.
– Better training for new operators, so they know what they’re doing from the start.
– Less need to call the site manager for every small problem.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
– It might take a while to get the right people into the right roles.
– If things aren’t set up clearly from the start, people might not always know who to go to for what.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
In the long run, this would make day-to-day things easier for everyone. Issues would get picked up and dealt with sooner, staff would have more support around them, and there’d be less of the same problems happening again and again. It’s a bit of effort to put in place, but it would make the whole setup feel more organised and less stressful to work in.
