Accepted Chaos Insurgency Update

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
A Chaos Insurgency update involving the following:

- Neuro Controller

- Biological Weapon


Neuro Controller
The Chaos Insurgency would have a neuro controller available in base every 2 hours (this could be made like a prop that can be picked up), the Chaos Insurgency would be able to place this neuro controller on sentient SCPs by pressing LMB on them. After the SCP has a neuro controller equipped a message will appear (e.g. Neuro Controller ### has been placed on your head, assist the Chaos Insurgency) and they will be allowed to assist the Chaos Insurgency and follow their orders (e.g guard base, assist in a raid etc..). The neuro device will wear off after the SCP dies or gets rc, however there could be a thing that would allow other GOIs to break it somehow.

Biological Weapon
The only biological weapon available to the Chaos Insurgency is a SCP-008 SYRINGE. What I am suggesting is to allow R&D to build a set of weapons that can host the SCP-008 syringe. The building process would take 20+ minutes based off what is being built, here is a list of suggested biological weapons that could be made:

- Crossbow, 20 minutes, can shoot a dart of SCP-008 infecting the hit subject
- Mortar Strike, 60 minutes, a strike full of SCP-008 gas would be done in a designated area (USABLE ONLY BY DELTA COMMAND) if a CI attempts to use it and he isnt DELCOM+ a message would pop up saying that you cannot operate the weapon
- "Grenade" launcher, 30 minutes, 3 shells full of SCP-008 gas can be shot with a grenade launcher.

REMINDER THAT THESE WEAPONS WONT WORK IF A 008 SYRINGE ISNT STOLEN AND PUT INSIDE OF IT
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Chaos Insurgency Update
- More Roleplay for R&D
- More uniqueness in CI

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- If CI gets their hand on 008 too frequently it would be a problem but SL can make limitations

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
The Chaos Insurgency doesnt have anything unique for now, the only thing close to SCP utilization is currently being done by the other 2 factions as well (SCP Chemicals) so it doesnt leave CI anything unique for what they are.​

+/- neutral leaning to -support no way in fucking hell is that 008 balanced even if requiring a syringe no just no to OP

the scp neurotransmitter is a cool idea however shouldnt work on Some scps IE 682 8843 323 and work on maybe 939 7722 TG etc while keeping it useful in some circumstances

i believe a good balance for the scp neurotransmitter if the SCP neurotransmitter is used on a SCP and in a mainraid CI raid cooldown is 1 Hour however on normal raids its 45 maybe a good way to balance it ?

The Neuro Controller would be BUSTED. SCPs doing CI's bidding, with absolute compliance and loyalty, would not be balanced in any meaning of the word. Imagine the firepower of the Insurgency in collaboration with the strength of even a mid-level SCP; nearly impossible to deal with, barring ERT.

Ranged SCP-008 assaults wouldn't be that much more effective than sending a Deep Cover into LCZ, breaking open an SCP-008 syringe, and waving the meatball around. Doesn't exactly justify the development time required for implementation when more meaningful updates could be made to CI.

only sapient scps should be affected by this (7722, 049, 076, 035, TG, etc) since non-sapient scps would

008 syringes are already op on their own, just drop it somewhere and if it breaks it creates a spore which you can run around and infect people with. it's more louder than injecting someone with it but it infects more people

CI need an update, but this isn't it chief. The only reason GOC is as powerful as it is, aside from loadouts, is our airstrikes. CI having them as well would indirectly nerf us. I think CI spending their time building and/or prepairing to raid would be sick as hell though, and encourage CI to stay on after MR/DCs. Expand on things CI can do as prep-work and it'd be a +Support. Maybe use the scavenging system?

Would totally agree with the Neuro Controller. The Biological weapon thing is meh. I would prefer R&D to have it's own way to produce toxic hazardous viruses that can spread through the facilit such as slowing, blinding, impairing vision, shaky vision, slowed firerate or possible other sicknesses that get transmitted through these diseases. This would enhance medical RP as they'd have to fix and quarantine these sicknesses. Obviously there should be a decent balance to all of this and also the diseases.

- I do not support, at all, the idea of "008 bombs". There's no way CI should arm themselves with 008, let alone a misuse-ready AOE solution.


What I do support, however, is the idea of a "neuro-transmitter" as you call it. It shouldn't be absolute though, and there should be a mechanic to resist it (to some degree) or at least to wear it down and break it (as SCP). Foundation and GOC should have methods of countering it, or it would break automatically on Tesla pass-through
