Combat medic/AO/E-11 rework

What does this suggestion change/add/remove: This suggestion will lower the current combat medic slots from 6 to 4 (maybe 3) and add medic jobs to AO/E-11.

This could be the loadouts and slot caps for the jobs if they are accepted.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?: There should be another suggestion out there like this but i think it was from a player that has been banished to the shadow realm so I'm going to say no.


Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
-This can heavily help out E-11 when fighting scps as they have no extra support other than getting field kits from dispensers and hoping they don't die and have to wait 20 minutes for another or waiting for combat medic to help with the breach if they ever do.

-On the AO side of things this mainly helps with the protection or saving the life of our VIP without having to drag them to medical or run to a dispenser.

-Combat medic slots being lowered so some medic mains may be angry about this
- May take away some RP from medical as if these jobs are being played they are less likely to see them unless for fractures or sickness


Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
-I feel like this should be accepted because it will improve support side of things in these regiments while not taking to much away from the medical team. i feel the combat medic job is used to but you don't always see max 6 people playing unless you got some people that are GOI mains that just want to chill on the job or MTF mains trying to do the same. overall i don't believe this will be an overpowerd thing we can put through a TEST PHASE like the NU7 jugg for a week or 2 to see how it will be balanced in combat and RP.

I honestly like the idea of AO having a medical job, (mostly so they can heal people of importance EC/O5), though ill tell you right now they wont touch job slots.

+support we have VIPs that we escort and keep safe, would make it much easier if we had a medic, also would make breaches better for E-11

only because I’m in the combat medic subregiment.
That’s being said it would be a good idea for them to have 2 medics in each mtf group.

"Some RP" is an understatement. You're taking away all RP related to basic medical duties, with the only things being kept being major surgeries, and psych evals.
This just encourages sticking to your bubble and not working with other departments.

gee golly only if i could buy something from a dispenser which i could use to heal people

E-11 I'm fine with really, I think it'd be very odd and out of place, but hell they need it. AO on the other hand? God no.

This would reduce the hub of RP that medical should be.

AO should be perfectly capable of going to medbay or using a field kit and do not need it.

E-11 are also perfectly capable of going to medbay, using a field kit, or having a combat medic join them. Frankly E-11 being in any situation where they would need healing from an infinite medkit is a bit of an odd one.

Combat medics Jobs would be constantly full (seing 4/5 in they evening is frequent)

Less rp or even talking between medical and MTF units.

You can easly just ask a medic to help you with whatever you are doing, medics escorting/patroling etc. with MTFs happens, you just have to ask

Remove combat medics completely from medical job or limit it more. They hardly even bring anything that isnt just done by normal doctors. Peoplewho talk about RP are disingenous since I hardly see combat medics even RP in the first place they quite literally just hang around and shoot people even healing they dont always seem to do.

Remove combat medics and give every MTF 1 combat medic slot
 
Not sure if you all have this on USA. But we on UK have a "Special Combat Medic" thing which is that a MTF can be trained by MLT to be medically certified in RP to do their normal duties. And be basically a medic in their own regiment.
We also have a squadron in Nu7 that does escort duties and a medic job, so you can also try and specifically get a Nu7 medic for this. This entire suggestion is specifically a US skill issue.
