General Overview: Security Containment Unit Theta-5, known colloquially as the "Guardians of the Threshold," stands as a stalwart bastion against the encroaching darkness that threatens the stability of reality itself. Formed under the auspices of the SCP Foundation, Theta-5 operates with unwavering dedication and unparalleled expertise in containing, neutralizing, and safeguarding anomalous entities and artifacts.
Founding of Theta-5: Theta-5 traces its origins to the early days of the SCP Foundation's expansion, emerging from the need for a specialized task force capable of handling anomalies with a propensity for breaching containment or posing significant existential threats. It wasn't put to use until a recent incident of multiple breaches in a row and after careful consideration from a neighboring site, they assembled a diverse array of backgrounds. This includes former military personnel, seasoned field agents, and returning retired MTF units.
Theta-5's Main Goal: The primary mission of Theta-5 is to enforce containment protocols, prevent breaches, and mitigate the potential ramifications of anomalous events.
