What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Rework defibs that medics (and combat medics) have to not be so overpowered. Potentially by requiring a small minigame, or having a cooldown between revives. (And make it so you can only be revived once per life, or max chance goes down each time if this isn't already a thing).
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Don't think so.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Makes the valuable act of literally bringing someone back to life cost appropriately in terms of skill/time than the basically nothing that it costs now.
- Balances the act of reviving someone, for example if a D-Class kills 3 gen sec with a knife, but then magically a medic revives all of them in 5 seconds instead of them needing to run back. The subsequent D-Class lose any chance they had of escaping. Likewise, if Chaos are holding, then foundation cant just infinitely revive outside of the hold.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Medic mains complaining because they find a minigame too hard.
- People who are bad and die complaining because a medic cant revive them for the 6th time in a row.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
If hacking a CL1 door requires a minigame, then giving someone the essence of life should at least have a cooldown between doing so/a minigame. If you want to argue for realism then realise that the chance of defibs working are not that high.
