What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Rework defibs that medics (and combat medics) have to not be so overpowered. Potentially by requiring a small minigame, or having a cooldown between revives. (And make it so you can only be revived once per life, or max chance goes down each time if this isn't already a thing).

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Don't think so.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Makes the valuable act of literally bringing someone back to life cost appropriately in terms of skill/time than the basically nothing that it costs now.
- Balances the act of reviving someone, for example if a D-Class kills 3 gen sec with a knife, but then magically a medic revives all of them in 5 seconds instead of them needing to run back. The subsequent D-Class lose any chance they had of escaping. Likewise, if Chaos are holding, then foundation cant just infinitely revive outside of the hold.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Medic mains complaining because they find a minigame too hard.
- People who are bad and die complaining because a medic cant revive them for the 6th time in a row.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
If hacking a CL1 door requires a minigame, then giving someone the essence of life should at least have a cooldown between doing so/a minigame. If you want to argue for realism then realise that the chance of defibs working are not that high.

It should be fine with how it is now you already can only be revived once and there's already a chance you need to shock them like 10 times to pick them up anyway

I am once again asking for the 8854 SWEP to work the same way that defibs do.

I guarantee you that if defibs worked the same way that the 8854 SWEP does, everyone would be complaining and calling it broken

Anyway, not particularly related, but I wanted something constructive to come from a not great suggestion that ignores the existing downsides of defibs. Please see the clip in highlight submissions from back when I was in Nu7 and it took 2 CMs like 50 attempts between them to res me. That and as others have mentioned, you can only res someone once a life anyway.

This is already the case, which tells me you've never used defibs before. If you don't get lucky with a one-shock, it usually takes 3-5 defibs to get someone up, which means 3-5 seconds of being pretty much stationary, potentially in the middle of a firefight (and not counting the random chance it takes some 50-60 defibs to pick someone up). If and when they do get up, there's about two seconds of animation of them standing up where they can't move, and then you can start healing them from the 15 or so health they revive with. In other words, unless they're very well defended, a medic attempting a revive is basically a free kill.
