What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Gives all guns proper recoil
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Hasn't been suggested before I don't think
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Can balance weapons better
- Can fix issues with gunplay feeling bland
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Have to learn recoil
- Get better at the game
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
If you take a look at all shooters, the guns have recoil, whether it be R6, CS, Battlefield, Roblox even SCP-RP. The guns have an actual form of recoil, some hate it but its actually a good thing, the mindset of "make every gun a laser" is terrible, its not fun to play, its boring and stale. (i go negative every war).
And why its a good thing is very easy to see and if put in action will have a huge amount of benefits:
First off, balancing. As every weapon currently is basically a laser its very difficult to change them, the only real thing you can change is rate of fire and the damage of weapons. This isn't good. The more options and variety you can have for balancing may make some guns better to suit different playstyles. You could also make CO guns be better in a way that isnt just "rifle with a higher firerate"
A thing I hear a lot is how SMG's and Shotguns simply suck at close range, that's because Rifles/LMG's have all the positives with no negatives
Rifles - Good damage, Good firerate, No recoil
LMGs - Amazing damage, High firerate, No recoil
SMG's and shotguns however lack, with them being:
SMGs - Low damage, Super High firerate, Some recoil
Shotguns - Poor damage for close quarters, Low firerate, Some recoil
If you have ever tried to use an SMG/Shotgun at range you'll see that it just doesn't work, but if you use an LMG/Rifle at close-quarters it does work and that's very very stupid, a gun that's supposed to excel in a certain area is overshadowed by a jack-of-all trade weapon.
Secondly, gameplay. Simply put, getting beamed across the map isn't fun, paired with a high damage rifle you will die quickly, and most of the time "unfair"ly. Putting recoil on weapons would A. Avoid this and B. Make it require skill to do this. It would also heighten the experience of new players as joining a server, going through a boring training, waiting for war and dying as you cross a field just isn't worth it and I honestly don't blame them for not putting time into the server.
Another benefit from this would be retention, if you play a shooter you'll know that as you play, being able to laser guns is fun and rewarding as it takes time and practice to do.
