WHY THE FUCK DO SOME OF THE GUNS EVEN DO THIS. The RPK makes no sense that it does it for example.

knockback prevents other players from returning fire and its an unfair advantage it has to go if you cant win a fight fairly maybe you should not be playing this game, the other option is to increase the recoil on guns with high knockback

-support, it should not be removed but instead modified, theres no reason that you should be able to take a blast point blank by a shotgun and be in the exact same spot, while the launches are fun removing knockback entirely isnt the best option

The reason you should be able to still be in the same spot is because that's how bullets work in real life. They go through you, they don't punch you.

you also fall backwards when being shot in the chest, you recoil from the pain (i think ive never been shot, but I'd imagine), but we are also talking about mtfs, combative personnel, (I will ignore uncombatives for this situation), wearing body armor would absorb some of the energy transfer from the bullet, and would send you back a bit from that alone. Kevlar in this sense does "punch" you, as it is a solid object that would be moved by the bullet. This is speaking purely in combative job terms though. When I think of knockback in the sense of a video game, its a way to enact a player flinching to the pain of the bullet. This is why I say dont remove it fully, as without any system in place to affect you once you've been shot is not the best, and knockback is a solution, but with it being so intense on this server it would be better to decrease it, instead of removing it entirely.

just to show how bad the knockback is, the guy with the nerf gas was flung not because the blackhole, but because the knockback.

Knock back is far worse than this clip, go on surface with a nova and point blank someone, im not saying it shouldn't be changed, but it shouldn't be removed entierly. This is also jack Edward's, and he's a nerd so that's why it happend

I remember this being looked into and I remember someone saying it was impossible/really difficult.
Was a while ago though.
It seems like there may be a way to do it, it's just not a built in function. Seems like you'd have to either actually just fully disable damage physics on a player, which you wouldn't want to do, otherwise it'd affect all damage sources, or you'd have to do something like the suggested workaround method, but check the damage type first before cancelling/reducing velocity changes.
