Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
- I would like to be able to assist trainee doctors with developing their skills within the department and also further my own knowledge of the procedures in the facility. I want to be able to assist wherever possible and save lives wherever I can. I wish to provide aid and support to all within the facility. I feel i could provide my experience in the facility to aid those that need it when perhaps they couldn't get that aid previously.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
- As a member of the 'Valkyries' squadron within E-11 which focuses on support and medical aid, i find my skills very useful for the job I'm applying for. I have experience training and can become accustomed to the new tasks put before me quickly. I feel my experience as playing a Combat Medic along with being a member of the 'Valkyries' Squadron has given me a wide range of knowledge of the medical field fit for this job. If you have not had much interaction with me around site dont let that influence your decision please, focus ont he application itself
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
- I will explain how to fix a fractured/broken limb:
1. Ask the patient if they want to be treated
2. Ask the patient to lay down on the X-ray machine and wait for the screen to display which limb needs to be fixed, it will appear red on the screen
3. Type !medic to purchase a drug jar, an empty beaker and the drug which will fix the broken limb, it will say in brackets which limb it fixes
4. Place the medicine into the beaker using the gravity gun and then put the beaker into the jar with the gravity gun also
5. Administer this to the patient and send them back to their usual duties
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
- The responsibilities of medical consultants are to oversee the medical branch alongside the Director of Medicine, training new trainees within the department as well as answering questions or helping people that require some assistance getting used to it all. Medical consultants are also to reward those with the correct knowledge of the department with their medical license (level 10 in support or above)
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Lore: It was calm in the medbay of Site-15 on a lovely Monday, Wednesday? Hell, no one even knew if it was lovely aside from those on the surface protecting the underground facility. Consultant Henrik was going about their usual activities, observing the medbay and making sure his doctors were doing everything they could to keep a healthy and sanitary environment, along with tending to those that had been injured in some way or another. Henrik had learned not to question any of the strange and odd injuries some personnel brought with them. However today felt off somehow, he had been foretold by a member of the Foundation that there was to be a test that required the presence of someone well versed in medical knowledge, of course Henrik said that he could help out if he fit the criteria for the test. The foundation member told him that that's exactly why he was speaking to him, as he was just who they were looking for, although they did say they would have talked to the Director of Medicine if he wasn't off site for a few days. Henrik accepted the task and was told it would begin at 15:00 the next day. Henrik had prepared a clipboard of all the knowledge he felt he would need going into this experiment and was escorted through the facility by 4 armoured soldiers, 2 on either side of him, somewhat boxing him in. They reached a checkpoint of sorts guarded by more armoured men, however they wore more blue clothes, and he recognised them as members of Epsilon 11, however he couldn't decipher which rank they were. The walk there was long, following pathways after pathways, staircase after staircase, until finally they reached an elevator with a sign next to it that read 'SCP-049: Euclid Entity' and he realised why they needed someone with such medical knowledge. The elevator dinged closed and it felt like an eternity until it dinged back open. Multiple men and women greeted as the elevator opened including the man Henrik had met the day previously, many researchers were there and other important people such as Site administration. Before this test began, Henrik was informed that it wasn't really a test, it was more like an interview between Henrik and the Plague Doctor. Henrik was to ask 049 some questions and then let 049 ask some questions of its own. The interview would be viewed by many from the site that were interested in this entity. Henrik put on the hazmat suit and entered the containment chamber of the infamous SCP. once both parties took a seat the interview had begun. Henrik started off by asking "Hello 049, i am Dr Henrik Sussman, i am here to conduct an interview with you on behalf of the foundation", to which 049 replied with "Ahh, a doctor, a person of like mind abilities to me, very well let us continue with this interview". The first question that Henrik was to ask and obliged to do so was "So, 049, what medical field do you specialise in the most", to which 049 replied with "Well Doctor, surely a man such as yourself would understand that one must not limit themselves to one expertise but aim to gain knowledge in all fields". Henrik took a slight glance to his right and saw that all the researchers were frantically noting stuff down onto their clipboards, Henrik pushed it to the back of their mind and continued. "These 'cured' people as you put it, how exactly are they cured" Henrik asked in a calm yet anxious voice, to which 049 answered agitatedly "Are you implying that the people i have cured are still imperfect, sure they do appear so, but they are cured of the pestilence that, although you try to hide, I can still smell all over you" as 049 said this he arose from his seat and placed his hands onto the table that separated Henrik and the Doctor. Frantically, Henrik arose also and headed for the door which slid open and immediately when he left, slammed shut behind him. Henrik turned around to see 049 staring through the window directly at him. That's all that Henrik wanted to remember as he left shortly after, saying that he would not participate in such an experiment for the time being. The experience has changed him but he still valued his medical knowledge and his staff to carry out the good work of the Medical Department.
Storylines: Anything to do with 049, an infection outbreak, a strange injury that need to be diagnosed and healed, a new chemical that can be used for medical aid.
