1. Appeal rules- Follow the format. You must provide all information.
- Complaints against staff should be made in the Complaints section.
- Don't bump your demotion appeal unless you are responding to a question / disputing a comment.
- Don't advertise your appeal (contacting staff about it).
- Don't lie in your appeal.
- Your first appeal must be within 2 weeks of your demotion, and any appeals afterwards must be within 2 weeks of your last appeal being denied.
- Level 1 appeals must be made off the forums (e.g. in Discord DM).
- If your appeal is refused, you can make a new appeal escalating to the next appeal level. If you are refused at appeal level 3, you may no longer appeal your demotion.
2. Appeal levels
Roleplay demotion appeals are a way for you to appeal your demotion from an in-game roleplay position, such as being removed from your rank in a regiment. Staff and GM demotion appeals should be made in the staff demotion appeals section instead.
You should start by making a level 1 appeal, also called an 'informal appeal'. This means you contact the person who demoted you (preferably on Discord), giving the reasons why you think that your demotion was invalid. You should tell them while doing this that this is your level 1 appeal.
If, after discussion with them, they refuse to reinstate your rank, you can make a level 2 appeal (a 'formal appeal') by posting a thread in this section of the forums. You must have attempted to resolve your demotion through a level 1 appeal first.
If your level 2 appeal is refused, and you believe it was due to bias or abuse, you may make one final level 3 appeal (an 'escalated appeal') by posting a second thread in this section. You will need to explain why you believe bias or abuse was involved.
If your level 3 appeal is refused, you will not have the right to make any further appeals.
Level 1 Appeal (Informal Appeal) - Decided by the person/people who demoted you
Level 2 Appeal (Formal Appeal) - Decided by the managers (in RP) of the person/people who demoted you
Level 3 Appeal (Escalated Appeal) - Decided by Server Leadership (or by Network Leadership, if Server Leadership were involved in your demotion)
3. Making an appeal
- Copy-paste the below format into a new thread.
- Updates to your appeal text should be done via editing your original post, not a new post.
- Don't tag staff or the person/people who demoted you.
- Wait for a verdict patiently. If your roleplay demotion appeal is not resolved within 2 weeks, it will be considered to have been accepted.
4. Format
Note: Please make sure to put 'Level 2' or 'Level 3' in your title, depending on what level of appeal it is.
