Denied [MRP] Decrease the fog

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
I propose that the render distance be increased (or just make the fog further away?) and we find a different way to make sniping more difficult. I thought the idea of bullet drop could be really cool but I assume that would be pretty difficult from a modding standpoint. Maybe something could be done with the marking mechanic, the sniper's last position could be outlined. It could also be a matter of increasing the contrast of skins vs the map? I realise that buffing snipers is the last thing we want to do but I feel like the fog is just a step in the wrong direction.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Sniping would be more fun
Killing snipers would be easier
Map would look nicer

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
It could go too far in the other direction and snipers could be too OP again. It's a difficult balance.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I think this suggestion should be accepted if we can think of a suitable replacement that would keep sniping difficult and not OP. Otherwise, I think the fog is fair enough.

hey, have you tried turning "Disable 3D skybox" over at /fps ? that might make it look better
I did try that today and it did help the issue a bit (not sure why it just appeared one day as i dont remember changing those settings) not exactly what I'm hoping for but at least a slight improvement!

Increasing render distance will increase the distance at which entities are networked to players, reducing server performance.
So I don't suppose "bullet drop" would be an easy thing to implement? At first I thought it would be really difficult but I realised that some tanks (e.g the puma?) have drop on their projectiles. I think the real issue is that there is very little skill involved in sniping.

For all of the reasons already stated.

How about we make sniping more difficult by making it so that people have to prone down (yes I know you can't prone on the server) or at least crouch before they can snipe? Alternatively, make it so that they must rest the sniper against a ledge, rock, ground etc? If they stand sniping, their shot should not be accurate at all.
