Application Format & Guidelines

1. Recruitment rules

  1. You must read these recruitment rules, or you may have your application denied. You may also fail your interview.
  2. You must have prior experience in the role you are applying for, or transferrable skills if you have experience in a related area.
  3. You may not bump your application. If you're caught bumping your application, then it may be withdrawn.
  4. Don't reference servers outside of the Civil Networks community when applying, this will result in edits being made to your post and potentially your application being denied.
  5. Don't ask other users to look at your application, if you're caught advertising then your application will be withdrawn.
  6. Don't lie in your application, this may lead to a ban from making applications in the future.
  7. When creating your application, you must answer all of the questions listed within the application format. Don't add extra questions.

The Returnee program is designed to bring in old talent to revitalize the NATO faction and bring it on par with the USSR. You may apply for any rank within a chosen regiment, but your final offer will be decided after an interview by the Server Leadership and NATO High Command Teams. You are expected to be active in the role you are applying for and should demonstrate high activity in-game to improve your chances of being accepted for an interview. Your conduct while your application is under review will be heavily scrutinised, so it is advised that you behave appropriately.

You will be expected to put an amount of time and effort into your chosen regiment in accordance with the rank you are given. A MSGT Returnee is expected to actively lead during wars and show initiative when interacting with new players. A MAJ Returnee is expected to take a firm hand in the day-to-day management of their regiment; running tryouts, leading wars, and training their new members.

Breaking these rules will result in either a denial or delays in processing your application.

2. Making an application

  1. Copy-paste the below format into a new thread in this section.
  2. Updates to your application text should be done via editing your original post, not a new post.
  3. Don't write too little (you'll get denied) or too much (no one will read it). Around 4-5 sentences per question is probably a good balance.

3. Notes

It's very important you know the rules well before you apply, and that you understand the ins and outs of the role you are applying for. If you are accepted you will be required to go through an interview. You will also be reviewed by the NATO High Command and Server Leadership Teams on your performance in the role.

It is helpful to respond to comments of those asking questions, but wait for a few verdicts to come in and then reply to all of them at once with a single post, rather than making a new post each time someone leaves a verdict. This avoids spamming up your application and helps the Server Leadership and NATO High Command teams to look through it.
