What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

NHC/SC that are kidnapped can be sold for warfunds.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):

- New way to earn warfunds.
- Special forces regiments will do more base kidnappings to earn warfunds.
- NHC/SC will be more valuable.
- If someone is kidnapped, RP will be more serious.
- If 1 NHC/SC is on and people can't afford to buy him back, NHC/SC can offer to give them warfunds for their release.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- If u want to sell NHC/SC u probably need Senior Admin+ to give them the warfunds.
- Other than that, don't see any negatives at the moment.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

Adding this would definitely add RP and people no longer have to waste 50-100K for 1 person. Makes it fun for the special forces regiment to do base kidnappings.

I think the major negative would be the excessive rules lawyering that linking warfunds to this is likely to generate. Too much of kidnapping in it's current state relies on calling admin sits. You're dealing with arguments about whether fearRP was broken, whether exec authority was properly granted, whether NLR was followed, whether sufficient players are online, whether it's been 1 hour since the last attempt, RDM disputes, etc. A part of that is player attitudes to the game, but putting more value on the system via warfunds might exacerbate this.

Solve that and you have my support.

In a way I think it would be very good to have this cause HC are worth alot and not all people really want to pay for us cause we can be worth up to 100K. But it would also kinda destroy the cash reward for people kidnapping generals Ik we can get war funds but I mean the in-game cash that players would get there isn't much reward for people in regiments for kidnapping generals only HC or RC can really use the tac tablet assets so it wouldn't really give rewards to people kidnaping generals.

as stated in merlin's reply, this would cause a lot of issues with fearrp since warfunds are especially valuable.
this would also mean nhc/sc would be constant targets for kidnaps to gain warfunds which can get annoying for them and the rest of the team.

this maybe could work with some changed or added rules in place for cooldowns on nhc/sc kidnaps.
or maybe even a system where either warfunds or player cash can be used depending on which regiment kidnapped or which regiment/rank is paying for the release.

aor/rmp is still in charge for negotiations and most will not feel rewarded or payed for there job if they cant do anything also we cant split the money with sts anymore

based purely on the fact sc/hc would stay in base to be safe instead of building fobs or other tasks

I think a warfund trading system would be nice overall , Spending your own money for an RP interaction just makes players ignore RP more.
Could even be implemented as a system for all ranks.

Hi Kvalax,

Your suggestion has been denied. High Command are a small group of individuals where if they are taken hostage, they should be treat like a prize. The way this sounds, it would be cheating out the people that took the HC hostage by them getting nothing in return. Fair enough, their own HC could reward them however the roleplay for a Hostage should be led by players that have the correct rank, not limited to HC as this would be. It's super easy to get war funds whereas $ is something people actually care about losing and so use their own initiative to NOT get taken hostage.
