What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion introduces a Quick Command Wheel (QCW) system, activated by holding a designated key (e.g., Q), which opens a radial menu of customizable, context-based chat commands. This allows personnel to instantly communicate critical information (e.g., SCP breaches, sweep calls, emergency codes) without the need to type manually under stress. Commands vary based on role (Research, GSD, Ethics, MTF, etc.) and clearance level.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I don't believe this type of system, but similar quick chat was suggested before I think
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
In emergencies, every second counts. This system gives players a fast, clear, and reliable way to communicate without fumbling over a keyboard. It supports teamwork, reduces stress, and helps everyone from new cadets to seasoned commanders respond faster and smarter. As long as it’s implemented carefully, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Speeds up communication during high-stress moments like riots or breaches. No need to type out long messages.
- Reduces stress and mistakes, especially for newer or panicked players who might forget what to say.
- Encourages more in-game communication instead of relying on external chats (Discord, VC).
- Promotes professionalism and consistency in callouts (everyone says the same thing the same way).
- Customizable to fit each department’s needs, like fast sweep commands for GENSEC or test callouts for Research.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Might take time to develop and test, especially making sure it works for each role.
- Could be spammed if not controlled by cooldowns or rank limitations.
- May cause confusion at first until people get used to the new system.
- Could clutter the screen if not designed cleanly or if too many options are shown at once.
- Risk of relying too much on presets, which might limit creativity or unique callouts in rare situations.
