What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Basically, there used to be a role in Discord that was Tied to being in a Regiment and allowed you to Vote on polls as opposed to anyone being able to vote. This means that votes that affect the Present in the server aren't affected by players that don't even play the server anymore and haven't in a while. It's niche as most votes aren't really held in the discord but I seen a kinda detrimental one where granted, it was said that it was just to see player feedback, if a polls out there with non-currently players that don't know the current state of MRP, it could end up bad.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
No
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Means people might rejoin regiments in order to vote
- Means that decisions that are in the Present aren't affected by a negative experience 2 years ago for example
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- People might cope about not being able to vote however, what's the point in voting if you don't play on the server anyway.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I mean kinda explained, stops old players that don't even know what's happening with the server voting for something based on outdated knowledge. I'm not saying they SHOULDNT vote, I'm saying they should have to come on the server, join a regiment to have a look at the server and THEN vote.
