Ban length: 6 hours (I am still trying to appeal this off my record, so dont close this saying "Your already unbanned")

What will you do to stop this from happening again: Be less trigger happy on Mayors.

Why should you be unbanned: As staff probably know, rangers and mayors have been minging a lot the past couple days and our relations with them are in a terrible state. So, when me and UN LT Squid learned that they had kidnapped a foundation member we instantly told them to release said hostage. They proceeded to ask "On whose authority" where i then replied with "UN Ambassador Jonathon Rigs". The mayor never actually replied to this so the UN and foundation raided ranger station together. During this raid, a ranger broke FearRP and was gunned down, and while the mayor was in sight i shot him too instantly killing him. Then after about 10 seconds, a ranger instantly respawned and killed me with a freedom.

During this incident, we gave the rangers and the mayor plenty of warnings to release the captured hostage, all of which they denied or turned down, instead asking for bail. Since the mayor is employed under us, and didnt release the person that we ordered them to release this would be failRP from the mayor and rangers. The mayor had plenty of chances to release said hostages and refused everyone of them.

Now i do admit i should not of shot the mayor and i was kind of trigger happy there, but as i mentioned relations with mayors have been at a all time low as recently they have been fighting us, foundation and CI a whole lot. This mayor in particular had raided foundation a couple days before, and had tried starting a war with us without us provoking him. Based on the Clip that you provided, you were located with Ranger/Mayor Building with a group of people, the Rangers were rather hostile which caused you to kill them, due to their weapon being out ETC, I see this as valid reason to kill due to them stopping you from raiding said building.

The Issue that I see which I consider RDM on my behalf, is the Mayor coming out of nowhere, from where the Rangers spawn into the Observation room of the Lobby where the NPC use to be located, Unarmed and not threatening, and you Killed the Mayor, without any Roleplay stipulation beyond hostility, I consider this RDM as I believe the Mayor death was unjust and unreasonable since he was not apart of the armed threatening party in roleplay.

I do understand why you did ban me, but realistically you have to consider that we were raiding the rangers. The mayor was aiding them and in fact leading them, thus it would be reasonable to say that he is the reason that the DEA Special agent was kidnapped. In the sit he had claimed he had just flagged on after the rangers but this is simply not true, he had flagged on a small bit before the rangers did, and also responded to me on O-COMMS before ignoring us. This like i said, implies that he helped with the kidnapping which gives me valid reason to shoot him.

While i also do not believe you did this purposefully, you have been known to be bias against the GOC and are banned from diplomatic relations with GOC. I by no means think you did this on purpose, but i do want this to atleast be known

Hello @Easton Maker I am sorry for this response taking more time than it did.

After review we have determined that there was enough RP involved to warrant killing the Mayor, for he was involved in raiding the foundation with a weapon out and capturing some foundation personnel.

Next time you are in game please make a staff ticket and ask for this RDM warn to be taken off. Please have the link to this post ready to give to the staff member.
