What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
This application is for the role of Ethics Committee member.
I want to apply for ECM because of the well developed great knowledge I have gained from being on the server for nearly a year, during this time I have created new long lasting relationships with numerous site staff that have seen how I conduct my duties whilst on as Ambassador, OSA or ECA and their opinions have been quite positive. Though I know, some may think it is a leap for someone to go from Junior CL4 to CL5 and may not be so common. But I believe that I can easily say that I have become overqualified for the Ambassador position and have also been told this exact same thing from other CL4 personnel.
I cannot comment much on my experience as ECA as I have only recently gotten the position, but I feel that knowing what I know about the inner workings of the site should provide me with more than enough knowledge and experience to be able to efficiently execute my duties if I were to become a ECM.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
Overlook
I am applying for ECM to reach my goal of Site Command, I feel that I am one of the more knowledgeable personnel on site that is asked about difficult situations. I want to ensure that all departments are supported to continue a consistent improvement, and help them out in any possible way. I want to be able to create new intuitive ideas for departments so that they can conduct their duties in a highly and very professional matter, given the possibility to give them an excellent example, I would use my knowledge to the fullest to show how they can display their dedication and willingness to support the foundation. Having this passion to boost all departments respect and reputation equally, will not only improve their normal operations but show then new intuitive ways to perform their duties.
I have seen that my leadership skills have improved quite well and during my time as an Ambassador, OSA and improving even further as ECA, I have shown many people how to improve their duties so they can get to the next step in their journeys as well as directing them in the right way for success. Other than that, I have seen that my time as Ambassador, OSA and ECA has improved the departments reputation and other things along with that so I think to myself through considerable efforts in my investigations, why not take a bigger step and improve the Foundation in another way?
Documents
Not many may know, but I have conducted a few big investigations and reports into personnel all the way to CL5, some of these have resulted in disciplinary action such as removal from their respective departments. Unfortunately, most of these reports cannot be shown to anyone other than Ethics Committee or CL4 so not everyone can see my potential to see how I construct these reports.
Other than that, I know I am good at creating documentation as I have been told this by numerous site personnel and have been told that they are all well constructed. (Example of one of the templates for my documents can be seen here.) I like to always follow feedback I get on my documents as I know how important it is to improve by using other people opinions.
Interactions
Some of the interactions I have had with some people are beyond remarkable, and will quite frankly stay in my head for the rest of my life when I look back at the good moments in life I have had as I won't be gaming my whole life. When I talk with people I like to be very friendly and trustworthy with my presence, I want everyone that I meet to know that I listen and value everything that is said. Quite a few people can say that they have had enough good interactions with me to like me, though there are always people that will dislike someone but I tend to still respect those who don't as you still have to value everyone's opinions...
Everyone will have those questionable interactions with people, but often they are overlooked as the better memories and interactions with those people will always stand out. Though, I have my own quirky moments I am still a social person that likes to have a little laugh about the little things in life and enjoy those moments.
Activity
I feel that I am active enough on site so to the point where I know about most big events that have happened overtime, meaning that I inform myself about anything new that happens. Many can agree with my activity, though I am not on 8 hours every day I still chip in my time where I can so that people can see me around. Nearly everyone that knows me, for a fact know that I like to go on Ambassador quite a lot, as I quite candidly like the position quite a lot.
So when I think to myself that seeing my activity and the things I do on site, I can definitely utilise my time on site much better if I am able to do more for the better and improve the server overall.
Duties
I make my best attempt to be as professional as I can be at all times as it can go quite far in roleplay being professional and knowledgeable. Having put in as much effort as I normally do into my duties I think this can be further stretched into other duties that ECM may have. I hope that most people can agree that I do put my best effort into everything I do, so that I can achieve the best possible outcome to that situation and even further improve my reputation.
When coming to how I conduct my-self I feel that I always try to be as respectful and professional as I can be for the respectful role that I am on at that point of time.
My Past
Before I even came to Civil Networks, I played on numerous FiveM RP servers over two years before joining Civil Networks and during this time I made new friends, as well as lasting memories that I can still remember. Having played on these RP servers before I know what to expect in some situations if it comes to it and I feel that I can make quite interesting situations for some people to part-take in.
After a while, my favourite FiveM RP server shut down so I felt that it might be good idea to take on roleplay in a new game. Somehow I came across SCP-RP which I have loved ever since I have joined, SCP-RP has also helped me learn some new things from people that could possibly pose good use to me later in life.
What are the responsibilities of ECM in RP?:
- Actively oversee departmental activities.
- Assist department reviews.
- Lead Foundation Members to success by helping them improve.
- Dealing with difficult problems within the Foundation.
- Attend and organise meetings with Site Command Members, department leaders, site administration, and more.
- Completing orders given by ECC.
- Report to the ECC about any arising issues within the Facility.
- Issue orders to O-1 operatives.
- Containing info-breaches that may compromise site security.
- Permitting the entry of visitors into the foundation such as MC&D and Rangers.
- Writing documents about site activity.
- Giving orders to GENSEC/MTF during difficult times such as; hostage situations, breaches or intruder alerts and authorising AA when required.
- Enforce and suggest improvements for the Foundation Legal Codex to be more inclusive.
- Authorise Keter tests, as well as human testing on SCP-914.
- Ensure the O5 Council is not endangering the FLC or site personnel.
- Holding CL4+ tribunals for FLC violators.
- Activating emergency procedure protocol when needed.

Janis Stradins was first entered in the Foundation Personnel Database on the 6th November 20██, he was one of the few newly selected Foundation personnel from the 32nd Annual Recruitment Week for the SCP Foundation, he is aged 43, is a former Latvian National and a speaker of 4 languages.
He was born in the Latvian SSR in 19██, in a high-class family working for the KGB. His background consists of an intel gathering related job in the "Committee for State Security of the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic" (Latvijas Padomju Sociālistiskās Republikas Valsts drošības komiteja) as a intelligence agent, his primary station was in Riga, Latvia to lead the team dedicated of finding western spies during the years of 1986-1991.
During the so called "The Barricades" from the 13th -27th January 1991 he left the Latvian KGB and participated in the gathering movement of the Soviet OMON police force to alert the Latvian Supreme Council of upcoming assaults on the country infrastructure.
After the dissolution of the USSR he transferred to the State Security Service (Valsts drošības dienests) as a Intelligence Agent tasked with leading a team of 4 gathering intelligence data in Minsk, Belarus on military movement during the years of 1991-2004.
In the second-week of November 20██ he applied for "The SCP Foundation", he didn't know much of what he was getting himself into but he thought that it was for a good cause as suggested by his former colleagues, once accepted he was brought to the facility after a long vetting process. Shortly after he was accepted into the Internal Affairs department and has changed the direction of the department for good, he has lead multiple operations leading to the arrests of multiple culprits and has successfully executed numerous people for CoE violations.
In December 20██ "The Latvian" was promoted to Internal Affairs Ambassador based on positive feedback from Foundation Staff on his hard work and dedication to the department.
In February 20██ "The Latvian" was promoted to Overseer Assistant based on positive feedback from Foundation Staff, his work has vastly changed the direction of how departments operate to achieve the best result.
In June 20 ██ he was taken for an interview by the ECM and offered the ECA role, after his acceptance of the role the site had improved in numerous ways.
