Why are you applying for Security Captain?
- I am applying for GSD Captain to make a better impact in leading GSD. I enjoy playing RRT Sgt and I want to take the next step in the hierarchy to further develop my skills and have a bigger impact in organizing GSD when I am online, along with making GSD a more enjoyable role to play by organizing d block in a good manner while still keeping it fresh.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
- I have been playing GSD a lot more when not on E11 and I know that we all start somewhere - as a GSD Cadet. I aim to teach new cadets like I was taught when I first started to play combative roles and be an example to them, so that they themself will know how to do their job better. I appreciate the work that GSD Captains put in and am eager to be a part of it.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
- Authorizing and leading sweeps of D-Block during a code 2.
- Hosting RRT and HWL License trainings.
- Organizing and leading GSD in D-Block.
- Ensuring that your personnel are well trained and follow the FLC, working with IA when needed.
- Being a role model for all GSD personnel as the second highest ranking GenSec.
- Job banning people who abuse the job.

“Skittles”.
That was what everyone called her. Half a reflection of the fact she’d have a bag of skittles with lunch every day, half a reflection of her bright and colourful personality. It wasn’t a badass and strong nickname like others in her class got, but she liked it. Just like skittles.
A peculiar ad in the newspaper got Amanda here. It was advertised as a general security job at a warehouse. It wasn’t really her first choice, but money was tight. She looked up the company and it all seemed legit and reliable, so she went for it.
It was… An odd interview to say the least. The interviewer especially was a bit mysterious and confused that a girl such as Amanda would be applying, but it went well, nonetheless. Even better was the fully paid training that was needed. Score! “A month away with food and accommodation all paid for? I’ll be able to get some savings in this month” she thought.
The location was nothing that she would have ever thought of. Most places she had been for work trainings before was in the city. This was on an island. Still, there were a lot of people who were doing the same thing.
Turns out this company was just a front for another organization. “The SCP Foundation” was the real thing she’d be working for. After an initial briefing, nerves were calmed about working essentially as a prison guard. After hearing what these “Class D” had done, and what Amanda would be doing for humanity, her nerves were calmed. She was doing good keeping these people contained.
Although not the typical strong and bulky candidate, Amanda was good with a gun, a knife, and her quick thinking. Quickly, she passed the academy, and she was given the job. She dared to say it was somewhat easy. Guard, escort, and shoot down the occasional d class who ignored their warnings.
That day she jinxed it.
“CODE 2! I REPEAT, CODE 2! THE D CLASS ARE RIOTING AND STARTING TO OVERWHELM US! WE NEED ALL THE BACKUP WE CAN GET! ABANDON ALL ESCORTING DUTIES AND RETURN TO D BLOCK NOW!”
This was the last thing anyone wants to hear over the radio, especially during lunch. The skittles would have to wait until later.
The plan was simple. Riot Response Team had already dealt with the worst of it from the catwalk, now all was left was to sweep up remaining contraband and stragglers.
The moment GSD pushed in, one of the captains was shot in the head. This was no ordinary riot; the captain was shot with a high power 7.62mm. From the bathrooms someone could be seen with the rifle that bullet came from, and it wasn’t a d class. The green armour, the gas mask, it was unmistakable. It was a chaos insurgent. In the flesh! How had they got past? It didn’t matter now, they were already all in. D class were beginning to get rowdy, that sniper was aiming his next shot, and the next in commands were stunned with shock.
“What are we standing around for? Left team keep the d class in check, shields push forward, get that insurgent!”
The next minute all happened in a flash. Amanda could remember the sound of bullets hitting riot shields, green fabric being stained red and the smell of gunpowder being prominent in the air.
At last, that main threat was over. Coming out of the showers, the sweep was going as planned. Contraband being taken, keycards being confiscated, seemed like it would be ok now. Until Amanda noticed something in the corner of her vision.
Bang.
A D Class hurdled to the floor, just behind the other captain. The captain turned around to see Amanda’s gun pointed at the D Class, who had a shiv in his hand. Realising that Amanda had just saved the captain’s life, he gave her an approving nod and went back to work.
After the sweep, Amanda was called to the Chief of Security’s office. More praise was given, along with a promotion to officer. “When my captains lacked to take the initiative in an unexpected situation, you stepped up and got the push going again. You even managed to kill a Chaos Insurgent; the higher ups are very happy with that. This promotion is well deserved.” Said the Chief.
“I see a great future for you here, Amanda.”
