Denied Tranq pistol nerf/change

What does this suggestion change/add/remove: Changes the tranq pistol to be only effective on targets with less then 25 body armor for disclaimer cadets and gsd officers only get 20 body armor so ia can tranq them this suggestion serves to lessen IA and its constant use and abuse of tranq pistols i believe 25 and above is a fair balance as dclass with tranq pistols from the scrap trader

can still tranq officers and cadets they just wouldnt be able to do so on sergeants and captains if a IA amb needs to arrest a GSD sergeant that should be done with multiple IA fearping the gsd instead


Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2): The tranq pistol gets a deserved nerf IE dclass with it not just tranqing fully armoured targets and killing the targets same with IA in raids tranqing CI juggernauts etc or IA tranqing gsd SGTs this would still work on officers cadets etc and chefs techys just not on high body armoured targets


Possible Negatives of the suggestion: If a GSD sgt is breaking fearp and running away from IA it would be difficult to do anything you might need a GSD captain to step in and the level 20 combat req should keep minges away from it : Tranq pistol for dclass becomes less useful


Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted: IA amb are currently well abusing their tranq pistols to insane degrees it also makes no sense realistically for a tranq pistol to shoot 1 bullet and work on a target wearing BULLETPROOF gear such as juggs etc many IA amb will claim self defense IE hide behind a door way tranqing combants this shouldnt be a thing and i believe that this change is more benificial as its quite stupid for a IA amb to be able to tranq juggs and mtf etc

IA amb reguarly abuse this bro tranqing mtf and its the most annoying thing they although its quite helpful for us when CI raids they tranq CI and get mtf free kills its also quite unrealistic for a tranq pistol to work on heavily armoured targets

although tbh body armor does have gaps in it however that shouldnt really be a excuse​

Not really, that's also dependent completely if someone can aim. As stated it's very easy to counter and very easy to fight against

you would still be able to use it that video you just shown even if this nerf was applied that would still happen civilians have 0 armor thus can be tranqed however you cant exactly go ahead and tranq a MTF and would need to put him under fearp

This sounds like the biggest Gensec skill issue and a giant case of someone not even knowing the rules
It is against the rules to tranq or cuff a combatant such as ci or mtf if they have a gun out and the only part that does not apply to is dclass with the tranq. If a ci jugg gets tranqed it is up to them to call a sit on that is because not only can IA not do that but IA isn’t even a combative job
