After everything, her arm being changed, and the overseers' choices, Athena debated if she had truly done what was right. Was it right to give herself such an advantage? Should she have allowed for so many changes to herself? With more time, Athena slowly changed, viewing what she had previously seen as a gift, to be something that should’ve been shared with all from the start.
However in the en-mas ethical debate that came along with her changes, if this were to be given to others, would this be right? Is it even fair? Is it human to change someone so much? While she may be stuck permanently in such a way, she wondered whether it was best to prevent others from following this path.
With time, the Advisor became a Manager and began involving herself in many debates regarding the matter, with the researchers who would come and prod and inspect her arm, and eventually hosted lectures regarding the matter itself, further misaligning her views from those of the Overseers to a more ethical approach. She would sit for hours, preparing, ensuring every basis was covered, and she knew that while it would be a level of hypocrisy, the foundation could learn from her mistakes.
She started noticing much less budding researchers in her talks, but more armed personnel, usually surrounding a gentleman in a suit. This did not falter her topics, even when she’d noted her notes in her room had been thrown around, she simply gathered them together and continued with her day.
Across the site, she’d noted people were acting strange though. People seemed to have gone from agreeing with her topics to outwardly disagreeing. She pressed forward. She knew what she was doing was the right thing, even as she watched more and more cybernetics be pushed out across the site.
She started interviewing these people. She knew it came from the same place she had gotten hers, and she knew that it would be just as dangerous as the chip she once had in her head would be. She noted their fear as she prodded, she realised she couldn't trust anyone with this, all she could do was counter-investigate and research in her own time.
It wasn’t until she had been summoned to the Ethics Committee offices post a narrow escape from what could be best described as an assassination attempt during her lecture, critiquing materials she had seen used across the site, and the danger they posed from blood poisoning. Athena sat across from the Ethics Committee Chairman, she’d met him before in her previous jobs, but it had been an immense amount of time.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
Leadership abilities
On the 10th/11th of April, I along with an ECA and LTCOM coordinated the efforts of a combined party of MTF units. During this we dealt with 008 taking half of the site, 7722, Type Green A (twice), Type Green B, 682, and 076. During this, we had limited personnel but needed to work efficiently and to the best of our ability to keep personnel safe. While I worked on getting foundation staff out to the garage, the LTCOM organised the pushes to take back sectors of the site, as well as the ECA assisted both of us during this. During this breach, there was a clearance 5 info-breach. These elements had to be coordinated to the best of our ability, and we managed to avoid a nuke, alongside re-containing all SCPs and ensuring the safety of the majority of non-combative personnel. This resulted in researchers who were disgruntled by not being able to test, given activities in PW Blast shelter to entice them to stay, as well as tasking trusted personnel who self-administrated amnestic post the investigation being complete to find the root cause of the info-breach.Ability to create consistent RP
During my time as Site Advisor, I ensured that I have not had an idle moment. Whether this is creating RP with members of SC, or other members of site administration, but also ensuring RP is created for roles that typically do not have the chance to such as GENSEC. I frequently visit these departments, look over any tests to assist and ensure all is running smoothly, as well as do my best to greet and create small RP sessions with other members on site. One of my absolute favourite things to do on the site is to create RP when I can, even if possible during breaches or code ones for personnel who are not responding. Such as hosting a chess tournament for research in the breach shelter when a triple-breach was going extensively, or even as a Chef creating meals based on the "person" I was giving it to.Documentation
Over time, both as an ECA and SA, I have taken complete and absolute pride in my documentation skills, as through the lengthy, well organised and well-laid-out documentation I have been able to show that I am willing to spend the time and effort to ensure everything is correct and handed to the right personnel.Key Understanding of Ethics
Being a part of ethics originally stemmed from me due to my pure interest in Ethics outside of the server. I am heavily involved in the ethics in the security community, dedicating my external papers as well as my university dissertation to such things. I have a key interest in ensuring everything we do is in the eyes of what is right for people and deals with absolute morality.Adaptability
Site 65 has a lot of new and interesting situations, whether these are gamemaster events, or general activities taking place. Throughout all of these, my thought process is how I can keep the situation enjoyable for all, but also to keep it consistent and knowing when the situation is best to be ended. An example of this is recently an event that took place when I was an ECA, where a game master had been manning an anomalous bar for four hours straight, waiting for a reaction of containment. I had joined this event about 20 minutes before its subsequent end, and immediately upon hearing how long it had taken place, I had E-11 brought in to deal with the anomaly. This allowed it to finally finish, and for a resolution of containment for this new SCP to be found by the personnel assisting. While this was an enjoyable event, and I was able to participate, I understood that this was something that had gone on long enough and was able to finish it appropriately.Management
In my time being Site Administration, I have demonstrated clear, strict and consistent treatment with each department, no matter the situation. Through this, I have assisted in Epsilon-11's recovery post their hearing, as well as ensuring they were ready for their strikes to be removed from the CO team. As well, I assessed the other Site Combatative regiment, Nu-7 Hammer Down, and worked alongside the CO team to increase communications post their positively regarded hearing. During this timeframe, we had members of Site Administration leave the team, during this, I took on the extra work to ensure everything could run smoothly and prepare for the end-of-month review period. Due to this effort, I was able to progress to the position of Site Manager. With this position, I overlook two Site Advisors, organise weekly 1-1s to monitor progress, and also ensure all concerns can be answered. What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
- Auditing Departments and ensuring all departments are of a high standard.
- Entrusted with site safety, and ensuring all personnel are abiding by the Legal Codex
- Approving / Denying experiments that may require Ethical considerations/approval
- Dealing with Code Black, from calling it to activating the nuke on site once ERT has failed, along with any other containment procedures.
- Facilitating/hosting tribunals when needed for CL4+ personnel has broken the code of ethics.
- Situational authorisation such as Advanced Armory and Mass Termination in the appropriate scenarios.
- Deploying Omega-1 to deal with code of ethics violations and any departmental intervention needed with backup.
- Most importantly, creating new and inventive RP within the site. Which can be consistently maintained by all of the points listed above.

- Director of Internal Affairs
- Ethics Committee Member
- Ethics Committee Assistant

Ethics Chairman: We appreciate the lectures and debates you have hosted, I question your lack of fear due to your previous dealings with the subject matter
Athena: I hope people may learn from my mistakes, and such things be implemented with time and proper testing
Ethics Chairman: I see. I have been watching, and your knowledge of such technologies and ideals is what we need in the Ethics Committee right now, as you know what we need to put an end to
Athena: I agree. The more I see people change, the longer this goes on- I fear worse actions are to follow
Ethics Chairman: I would like to extend an invitation to join us in the ethics committee, I believe you will be able to help our cause
Athena: Thank you Sir, and I accept.
