Why are you applying for Director of External Affairs?
As of now the Department of External Affairs (DEA) is performing poorly and the spot for Director is vacant, I believe with my experience, skills and qualities that I can transform the department into an efficient and respected department. I have plentiful experience in reviving, thought to be, dead and hopeless departments / regiments and building a reputation of seriousness and hard work. Through sheer determination and effort I think that the department can be of a high quality in a fair period of time and this will be kept up by me choosing suitable candidates to fill up the senior positions in the department. In addition to this, I can provide a lot of training and experience to newer members of the department which will improve their initiative out in the field and therefore enabling the department to prosper via its well trained personnel.

When I have a goal I always do my utmost to achieve it and with my goal for a high quality and actually useful department, I do not think it will take long to sort it out as I will put in all of my effort on the server into flipping the reputation of a poor performing / quality department to a resourceful and superior intelligence gathering unit.
Thoughtful:
Not that I deny being compassionate / friendly. I associate this more with planning and strategy and at the top of the department there will be no irrational decisions made that result in chaos between GOIs and even regiments within the facility. I will try my hardest to maintain relations with other regiments, especially SOP however I will also not let my department take the blame / heat for every small fuckup when they are equally at fault.
Active:
As an active player in the community, as head of DEA I will be a leading figure in attracting new players into the department. Therefore my behaviour and actions will be presented to the whole community and I believe when witnessed people may want to work with me in my department.
Experienced:
I am very aware that I have no actual experience on this server specifically as a Director+ however I do not allow this to hold me back from applying for such a position. This is as I am in touch with my abilities and will not overstep my boundaries when making big impact decisions. Prior experience includes being Colonel of SAS on the MRP and also a Major General in the High Command, some may say this is irrelevant however I believe this demonstrates that I can handle leading people and how they will willingly follow my lead as I am very fair as a leader.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of External Affairs in RP?:
I think that the main responsibilities as Director is to ensure I have a solid chain of command first and foremost. This is because running the entire department alone will be extremely difficult and draining after a short amount of time, therefore I will choose the correct people to fill the roles. People who I trust and have utmost faith in execute my wishes that keep the foundation's priorities at the top.
Furthermore, maintaining relations with other departments and MTF units is a top priority as communications need to be clear at all times, especially when dealing with Groups of Interest on the surface and ensuring that RP is smooth with them. To do this I will personally request meetings with the leaders of said units in order that we are on the same page with almost every situation.

Please give some lore about your Director of External Affairs character and what storylines they would be involved in:
[REDACTED] ‘Brum’ was born in Birmingham, England and always strived to be in the military, specialising in intelligence and intel gathering. Despite this, he graduated from University with a degree in Medicine and was recruited into the army as a Surgeon, after receiving specialised training. Swiftly after becoming a frontline surgeon he was given multiple medals due to his skill as both a medical expert and combat specialist.
After his first tour, upon returning home was greeted with an offer to be a part of a secret laboratory which tested anomalous beings and creatures. After accepting this offer, he was transported to this facility and given the role as a Combat Medic due to his history in Medicine and supporting those on the frontlines.
Wanting change, ‘Brum’ realised he had a knack for gathering intel efficiently and at a professional level. Hence he was recruited into the Department of External Affairs (DEA). Soon after being recruited, his talent was noticed by many and was promoted to the rank of Senior Agent. This promotion was a boost for his confidence and improved his willingness to learn, leading to his excellence at the role and seeking to be an even larger part of the Department of External Affairs by reaching Special Agent.
Soon after reaching this rank, his hard work was rewarded further and he was promoted to an Agency Manager in the department, where his effort and dedication was shown further by his numerous attempts in resolving conflict with the UNGOC whilst simultaneously fighting off the Chaos Insurgency from infiltrating the facility. After realising that he could make permanent change in the foundation, he has filed his application to become the Director of External Affairs and awaits response.
