Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I'm applying for executive for two main reasons. Firstly, I enjoy research more than most people. Over the past few weeks that I've played on Civil-Networks SCPRP, I've liked being curious, and exploring the mysteries of each SCP. It's interesting, and fun to write long-winded documents and cross-tests, exploring each possible outcome to great depth and detail. I'm the kind of person who likes documentation and descriptive writing, and being an Executive Researcher would fulfill all my desires and push me to a higher-level of standard, allowing me to create more detailed and accurate documentation. This position is something that interests me the most. I've also been in contact with a few CL4 personnel inside the research department, making me understand the requirements and responsibilities of being an Executive,
Finally, research is a good "stepping-stone" to higher positions in the foundation. Executive Researcher is a junior position that will introduce me to Cl4 positions, allowing me to test on more SCPs, and help more people. It would allow me to both help other people, and provide a good start from my employment in the foundation as a dedicated researcher. So far I've enjoyed my time as a researcher, and helping other people is one of the main reasons that I'm applying for Executive Researcher, as it would allow me to share my excitement and interest in this field of anomalous science to others.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
Firstly, I'm working on my ability to lead RP and create RP-Accurate documents. I'm currently working on interesting cross-tests and i'm communicating with game-masters on creating a cross-test with SCP-059 (Radioactive Mineral), and i'm planning on including some lower-ranked researchers to introduce them into the research department on a positive note. Other than that I'm able to create lore-accurate and excellent documents. I've also been in close-contact with the DoR (Both Engallagher and Cader before he left for SA), and some executives, and from what I've been told, this would be something that is fit for me. I'm suitable for Executive Researcher because I'm good at communication, and good at writing high-detail documents, something that being an Executive will perfect and it's something I'm good at already.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I've so far written 6 excellent documents and 2 good documents, but i'm working on increasing my portfolio to have a larger amount of high-quality documents that I can give to researches as examples. A document is graded depending on many factors that combine together, showing how good the researcher who wrote it is at research. Some of them main key factors are including an "Aim, Method, and Hypothesis", as it allows the person reading the document to understand why you wrote it. It's also very important to focus on how the writing flows in your writing, as it would make for a more interesting and curious read if your writing is of high-quality. Personally for me it also helps to have the document laid out neatly, ensuring that all the pages intertwine in a way that makes sense. I also like to include a cover page and index to make browsing more pleasant and more life-like. I also include a conclusion, credits page, and SCP descriptions to make sure that everything is understood well.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
In RP, an Executive Researcher has multiple important roles, such as helping Jr Researchers get into the research department, training them by helping them write documents, grading documents, and telling researchers how they can improve their documents.
So to sum up, you have to:
- Grading Documents,
- Conducting CL4 testing,
- Escorting CL3 personnel into CL4 places,
- Helping researchers by hosting lectures / group studies,
- Helping others with documents.
