Why are you applying for Special Agent?
- I'm active on senior agent and really enjoy the gameplay. I've frequently taken part in DEA duties such as infiltration, interrogation, escorting etc. I'd like to progress in this as a special agent to take a bigger leadership role as a CL4 personnel - furthering not only my time in DEA but also giving me the ability to help agents above and below me in the ranking structure. DEA have said they are looking for more special agents, I'd like to step up to that. I also really want to use the DSR, I've heard very good things about it.
What makes you suitable for Special Agent?:
- In my time as Nu7 and DEA agent, in the words of Dennid I've been "living on surface 24/7". I'm enjoying taking part in the SOP aspect of the server, in terms of both combat and passive RP with GOIs. Along with that, I've led interrogations that have been helpful RP wise for foundation and having prior CL4 MTF experience I feel I am able to conduct the duties expected of CL4 DEA. For me, DEA isn't "go to surface and biden blast every enemy you see". I thoroughly enjoy and encourage other DEA agents to sometimes observe and report instead of shoot, and to take part in building relations with GOIs.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
- I've written approximately 3 or 4 documents across all my held positions. While document writing isn't my specialty, I have been told they are good. A good document requires a good level of writing that isn't repetitive and conveys information clearly without being a boring wall of text. If a standard format exists, it's good to use that. Professionalism is also key.
What are the responsibilities of the Special Agent in RP?:
- Regular DEA duties of negotiation and communication
- Being the first point of contact for concerns for agents
- DEA Introductions and senior tryouts
- Hosting trainings / encouraging DEA to join Nu7 trainings if able to
- Handing out earned merits and recognizing work done by lower ranking DE
- Watching lower ranking agents to ensure professionalism
- Looking at documetation of DEA and passing it up the chain of command when needed
- Maintaining good standards of DEA
- Authorising QRF, General GOC entry, and MC&D entry

Prelude
Humanity was always at the forefront of Elena's work. From a young age, she had a focus on helping the less fortunate. Sharing lunch snacks with the kid who never had much to eat as a child, to spending free time at soup kitchens for the homeless as an adult. The opportunity to work as a UN Peacekeeper was like a dream for Elena, until the reality of the UN set in.
UN-Involved In Peace
5 months in [REDACTED] and the UN, a symbol and collective of global solidarity working together for the future, was powerless against the warlord of [REDCATED]. Elena’s patrol could only watch as patrols had to drive past countless atrocities – they were there to “keep the peace”, not “interfere”.
What exactly was the point then?
Aid meant for starving civilians was quickly captured by the warlord’s foot soldiers. They dined well at the world’s expense. It clearly wasn’t working and despite Elena’s pleas the aid was not to be guarded. Only airdropped in.
The Meeting
Better late than never, the warlord agreed to meet with UN forces to negotiate. It finally hit higher-ups at the UN that funds were just being wasted. However, it was evidently clear soon in the meeting that the warlord wanted to compromise nothing. All he wanted was more, in return for not making conditions worse.Hours passed and there was no progress.
“Nah, fuck this”.
Elena shot the warlord. A clean shot, zero chance of survival. Finally, power over evil. Moments of shock passed between the UN and warlord foot soldiers. Guns were raised, but the UN were faster on the trigger. The exfil was successful, but Elena was in trouble.
Aftermath
The minor bit of destabilisation was all that was needed to start change. The US Military got involved. Intervention was successful and finally progress was being made. But nearly at a cost to Elena. She had gone against the principles of the UN Peacekeeping Force and was about to face the cost. Until 4 strange people came to speak with her. Unlike the UN, they applauded her actions. They were representatives the SCP Foundation’s Department of External Affairs.As it turns out, there was Site [REDACTED] in the region, which was beginning to become compromised by the warlord. Her kill stopped that. As a thank you, a new opportunity was offered to Elena. The SCP Foundation learned that a harder approach was beginning to be required for maintaining the veil. Elena was the perfect recruit to enforce that. She learned that evil can only be defeated in a firefight. That new evil for Elena was the Chaos Insurgency, a previously unknown sponsor of the warlord.
