Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I wish to apply for GSD captain to provide my current wealth of knowledge and experience available to other individuals. General Security Captain was the second WL I ever achieved on this server and it holds a special place to me. Considering General Security is one of the first points of contact for new players joining the server I believe that by having this whitelist I would be able to stay in better contact with newer players; experiencing the server from their point of view. I more or less already do this in other roles; I am mostly seen as General Security Riot Control Sgt or Officer (depending on if the slot is occupied), and while this allows me to provide some knowledge to others it doesn’t allow me a commandership position that people look up to and respect.What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
One word, experience. I believe over my vast amount of time on this server I have accumulated a great wealth of knowledge and leadership experience which I believe I can better share with others through this position. That in combination with the fact I have already held this whitelisted position in the past makes me believe I am suitable for the position.Dedication, I am a dedicated player to this server. I am currently holding one of the highest obtainable roleplay leadership positions on the server and I also remain fairly active both on and off the server.
Leadership. I believe I understand how to lead individuals into situations and explain items of interest to them in simplistic terms so that others can learn more effectively.
Requests. Repeatedly I have been approached by members of the community and asked to provide assistance from an in-character standpoint e.g. during a sweep of D-block, leading an RRT patrol, providing advice to others on documentation and procedures, etc. Some of these requests have even come from members of the security departments; most notable being the current Chiefs of Security Enigma and Satchelboy.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
Deciding if a Code 2 “Riot in Progress” should be declared. If one is declared organizing members of GSD, Combat Medics, and potentially MTF to assist in sweeping of D-block; in which cells must be blocked, showers & vents swept clean and all D-class weapons and keycards checked on the eastern wall.Heavy Weapon License tryouts. It is the responsibility of Captains to host these on a frequent basis, using the provided handbooks and quiz forms to deem if people are capable of holding the license.
Riot Response Team License tryouts. Similar to HWL, running cadets through the handbook and quiz to ensure they understand the rules regarding the position and can exercise the attached responsibilities.
Organization of D-block. Ensuring POIs within the block are manned in order to prevent D-class from escaping or potentially rioting.
Assisting the research department, escorts should primarily be done by members of the Security Department. A core gameplay loop feature.
Organizing RRT patrols/responses. Captains should lead their units and assist in allowing others who potentially hold the Sgt position to step up and demonstrate leadership.
Assisting in the containment of SCPs, granting access to Clearance Level Four areas when appropriate; e.g. technical expert needs to access the LCZ Electrical Center. Closing PW blast door. Enforcing the Foundation Legal Codex for lower General Security.
