Note: (A few things said here will repeat those said in my ban appeal https://civilnetworks.net/community/threads/scp-rp-uk-ban-appeal-speff.27784/).

On September 13th, I hopped on the UK server for a chemical trade in the late hours. There, I found a glitch that somehow made my position site manager, which I had known for months was there but never thought much of it, as I was sure it was just a nametag and definitely fake. I proceeded to play around with the glitch, and changed multiple MTF's ranks and set them to COM, thinking that it was either only on my screen that their ranks had changed, or that it would set it back immediately.

I had made multiple mistakes here that I acknowledge, the first of which being not reporting the glitch immediately to a SL, even if I was sure it couldn't possibly do any harm. My second and biggest mistake was abusing the glitch and changing people's ranks just because I thought it was funny, even though I had no idea it was actually changing their ranks permanently until somebody else set them back. Finally, my third mistake is logging off and going to bed afterwards and not notifying SL to try to get the situation fixed, despite multiple MTF ranks being changed.

All of the mistakes I caused provided me with a permaban and a blacklist on any CL4 positions. I rightfully deserved this, as the damage I caused was way beyond just being given a warning. However, I believe that after reflecting on the situation, I have come to a point where I have moved past my mistake, while also keeping it in mind for any future situation. Before the mistakes, I had held the role of Security Captain for over 15 months from December 2022 to March of 2024, longer than almost any other captain in the history of the server (excluding the 6 months as reserve captain, of which I continued to get on the server to help GENSEC). During that time, I became Chief of Security for 7 months. In both CoS and Captain I did the best I could, and worked endlessly on multiple things such as entire reworks, GSD documents, official Code of Ethics/Code of Conduct rules, and more. During all of this, I had never gotten demoted from my position or banned from the server. Fast forward to when my ban was reduced to a month and then finished, I have worked to get my Sergeant position back on the server. Since then, I have gotten on the server multiple times, assisting Captains to help maintain order and helping others in need.

Due to all of this, I believe I would be an asset to GENSEC and the site as a whole if my CL4 blacklist were removed, and I was allowed to become a Security Captain. I have very much learned and reflected on my mistake that led to my ban and I wish to display that as best as possible. With the knowledge I have gained throughout the 1.5k+ hours I have on the server, I believe I can help other members of GENSEC and the site as a whole, as a holder of a CL4 position. Thank you for taking your time to read all of this, and thank you for your consideration.

Hello @Speff,

This is a simple notification that US Foundation Command team is looking into your appeal. Senior Server Leadership may also take over this case if they were directly involved in your CL4 blacklist. You may reach out to myself directly if you wish to provide additional information that you believe may help your case.

APPEAL ACCEPTED

Hi @Speff,

Thanks for taking the time to make an appeal.

We've decided to accept your blacklist appeal and thus you are permitted to apply for clearance level four positions on the US server again. Although we have accepted this appeal, understand that if you find yourself in the position like you did previously and go down the same path, you will not be granted another chance.
