Why are you applying for Intelligence Ambassador?:
The Intelligence role is one of the first roles I got into and I love it with all my heart. The concept of the departments for me is fun, interactive, and intriguing which I couldn’t find in most other roles inside the foundation, I adore it so much that in fact, most of my hours in the server have just been playing as an Intelligence agent. I managed to see how good people become when playing Intel and how resourceful and in-depth the RP experience can get while playing around with other agents in surface operations, interrogating civilians and CI agents, and helping spread misinformation so we can ensure foundation secrets do not spread. I have always looked out to my ambassadors as the perfect example of what Intelligence is and what their purpose is and wanted to learn more and more about the mechanics and relations they have with the foundation after I got enough experience as an agent, I wanted to take my career in the department to the next level and make myself an example to new agents and plant in them the same feelings I have for this department and make them have fun and new experience on the server, while also maintaining the name of the Intelligence department loud and proud through the foundation.
What makes you suitable for Intelligence Ambassador?:
Certain key attributes make me suitable for Intelligence ambassador such as:
-Flexibility: I manage to be flexible with how I act depending on the situation and the severity of it. I could be serious and firm when a crucial situation is being held in the foundation in which I search for the best resolution to quell the problem that either the foundation, my department, or other departments are facing. I could also be helpful and a teacher to those that need help understating protocols, foundations rules, tool usage, operation direction, etc.
-Leadership: A Leader without a team is nothing and vice versa. I manage to lead multiple teams through the harshest of problems with intelligence and planning that ensures my team makes it out alive, completes the objective, and makes a good example for others. I also make the member of the team, feel close to each other with constant interactions that fortify the bonds that a team needs to have to perform optimally in difficult scenarios the intelligence role entails.
-Caring and loyal: I care for the future of any role I participate in, especially in intelligence. I ensure different operations go as planned and that no detail goes under the radar. I also care for the well-being of personnel and ensure the foundation works without constant breaking of the code of ethics and the code of conduct each and everyone must apply on the job. I also care about important situations that need to be quelled or it could put the foundation and its personnel in danger, getting to the fire line if it’s necessary to defend the rules and values of the SCP Foundation. Also, loyalty towards my department, higher-ups, and commanders is a main motor of who I am to the point that it is necessary to relegate my position in times of great need I would do it for the loyalty to my foundation.
-communicative: I ensure to have good communication with anyone that I’m working with. Without communications, the chances of a good surface operation or mission diminish, so I ensured to always communicate key events to the foundation (always regarding the ideal clearance level depending on the message) so that in any type of operation the foundation is executing, everything goes smoothly and without problems.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
I have only written 1 document as a researcher. Honestly, I do not have a lot of experience with the format and the writing part of the foundation, but I understand the basic rules of writing a document and how its structure should be. A document should be informative and catching in its writing style and the information that is in the document. The ideas need to be clean and ordered in a way the reader has a pleasant time reading your document. The document also must be presentable and professional with images, spacing, headings, and so on so the reader has a good response.
What are the responsibilities of the Intelligence Ambassador in RP?:
The Intelligence Ambassador’s main goal is to be the main face of the intelligence department and work to keep the foundation’s secrets safe. They have the utmost professionalism and interest in anything related within their department and have the crucial role of training new agents to carry on the values of the foundation, ethics, and the intelligence department and to make the name of the intelligence department loud and proud. Ambassador works very closely with Nu-7 and Beta-1 to ensure different intelligence operation goes smoothly and accordingly to what the ambassador plan with the help of other high-ranking personnel. Ambassadors are also the ones responsible to evaluate, ranking, and approving documents written by their agents on interrogation cases, surface operations, and misinformation missions so they can be safely guarded and used by authorized personnel when those documents need to be used for the sake of the foundation’s well-being and operations.
Please give some lore about your Intelligence Ambassador character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Born to a poor family in the suburbs of San Jose, Costa Rica, Fidel Mendez has always been on the lookout for opportunities to shine. Although not the best in school at a young age, always being ridiculed for not being what the other kids in his town said was “Normal”, he had a passion for protecting the well-being of everyone around him and their most obscure secrets. Fidel started to build his reputation as the “El Castillo de Los Secretos” (The castle of secrets) and managed to shine as a very reliable person despite the terrible situation many of his friends and family were going through. As he grew, he started understanding an old saying his grandfather Luis, an old librarian of the “Miguel Obregón” Nacional Library, “knowledge equals power”. This mentality helps Fidel to rise from poverty and into the “Judicial Investigative Organization Agency” (O.I.J. in Spanish) as an intelligence agent with the code name "Castillo" to help uncover cases of fraud, misuse of government funds, and illegal activity in Costa Rica. During 5 years in his position, Fidel gained knowledge and tactics on cover-up operations, misinformation campaigns, and public relations to become the best of the best. It wasn’t until he received a letter from an unknown source on December 4 of 2022, that he was invited to work for a foundation named S.C.P. as an agent for the intelligence department in one of their facilities in Canada. At that moment, Fidel thought about this new job proposal, he thought to himself if he had sufficient intelligence and knowledge to be a good agent or even had the skills to work with another set of people, but most importantly, keep much deeper secrets that could end his and his family’s life, but he remembered what his grandfather used to tell him. A new opportunity means more knowledge and more knowledge means the power to mold his future in his new job. While on the airplane to Canada, he made a new promise to himself, he would be the castle of the information department and protect the foundation from malicious individuals who want to mess with what he now is his number one priority: The secrets of the foundation.
