Warfunds for all factions

Okay so hear me out here.

GOC keeps their current amount of warfunds
All factions can earn money from cmissions
Factions can buy weapons or air strikes from the GOC and use their planes (foundation buys 1000lb bomb subscription license from GOC for 10,000,000, they get it on a tactical tablet and can then use it ingame, costing 2,000,000 every time they drop it)
CI can buy the same from GOC
Not just air strikes, also weapons like Kbars and RPK’s.
Sometimes these drop around the map for factions to fight over

Promotes more surface rp and combat, as well as boosting DEA/Nu-7 numbers

Stupid idea or could have potential?

Do not give the same abilities to all factions (Airstrikes/1000LB) Each faction should have its own independent artillery that makes sense to have, such as mortars for CI or something a small cell could deploy as CI should not have airstrikes it makes no sense. However both CI and F should have strict restrictions (Except from GOC) to prevent abuse of the warfunds as we do not want MRP gameplay on surface ☠️

It is also convenient for DEA since they won't have to spend all their money on a hostage they can make use of the warfunds system i am not certain how the transfer will work maybe meet up IC and do a wire transfer i dont want hostageRP to be ah yes wire transfer hand over hostage it should be a mixture of IC meet ups as the usual

Warfunds is a sticky topic, one that I believe I've covered fairly comprehensively in the past, and I think that so far, everything's been explored - To my knowledge, the chief problems with the idea of Warfunds existing on the server for all factions are:
  • That this is a massive brick wall that we all keep collectively bashing our heads against, where we see that there's something to it, but it ultimately ends up being this massive can of just ick, to try and figure out how to properly implement this, especially since we don't want repeats of the introductions of both D-Block Riots & Dimensions.

  • Lack of non-combative and more RP-focused uses of Warfunds.

  • Fundamental incompatibilities between the desired server environment and the basic nature of Warfunds.
This isn't something that is going to happen quickly, and I don't think it should either. I think that the past dialogue on this topic has been constructive, but without more ideas for non-combative uses of Warfunds (One idea I had was maybe for an airdrop of a box with like, 5 or so weapon checker SWEPs? Airdrop it in compound and bring it down to wherever it's needed. Not too sure about the balancing issues, but I've previously talked about the idea of gating off the supply of certain SWEPs that there is hesitancy to just freely hand out with good reason, but also there being decently good reason for that thing to be more readily available, which has always something that's been in contention for a very long time with valid points on either side of the argument), there's generally not a lot more to explore. As cumbersome as this task is, I don't see it becoming so bothersome that it would get cancelled as it's still pretty relevant, there's a lot that could be explored with it - The only real thing I can see is that just trying to figure out what to give via Warfunds goes nowhere and it just ends up in development hell in perpetuity, which is kinda what's happening, but really all we can do, outside of trying to generate more non-combative uses of Warfunds as I said, is to just wait and hope things pan out.
