I am suggesting that the Combat medic Job be whitelisted and must have a test be taken before using their combative equipment similar to how Intelligence, Internal Affairs, and now the DEA have. It would create a more prepared group of medics in roleplay scenarios.

Add a whitelist to combat medic job where medical leads can approve the job whitelist

A positive to the whitelist would improve the combat medics ability to handle their duties
The whitelist would also stop people farming support on other jobs then getting their medical license and immediately playing Combat Medic
Another positive is it would also promote people playing the Doctor jobs.

The possible negative to adding the whitelist would limit the amount of people playing Combat Medic in the beginning, but would increase as people became improved.

I believe that this method could also increase the activity in the medical department as many aim to be combat medics.
This method would also help Combat medics be trusted in surface operations and other duties like security details.

Please give this a careful and deep thinking process

why people hate combat meidcs I don't get it
I would like to first say that I love combat medics. I was once the HH-3 Organizer I have had tons of experience with the job. From what I have observed the combat medics have been having a slow decline in their reputation, professionalism, and population. I am wanting to do tons for the combat medics but there is a issue that cannot be solved without change.

I have had complaints before of combat medics not doing their jobs, or people getting to the level requirement before having their medical test and then immediately going to combat medic. Doing a whitelist would prevent people going from trainee to combat medic without proper experience.

I remember hearing from a Previous medical director on the UK site that people are just playing medical to play combat medic.
I'm fine with goals but it should not be the main reason why we have people playing medical.

It is an easy combative CL3 job with a ton of permissions, so I think a whitelist should be fair for the job.

US Combat Medics are 50/50 imo, one half is really helpful & good at their job & the other is on the same level as cadets & IT specialists tbh

A test to ensure we're only getting the people that are actually going to do their job & be helpful would be awesome, because getting combat medic is really easy rn & literally anyone can just get on it if they pass a simple test & have support 20.

Couldn't you just make it so Combat Medics had to have a medical license, making it Whitelist only like IA or Intel seems overboard for such a simple role. I mean, they'll just go onto Tech Expert or GS. It really wouldn't stop people who minge by doing this.

It does require a medical license but it's still full of random people that act stupid.
Them going on to tech expert or GS(?) would be better because then they're not armed & they don't have level 3 clearance.

Combat Medics suck at what they do on US, I have to beg for healing & they generally just sit inside D-Block & act as strawberry flavored GENSEC.

Then a CL4+ member of medical personnel can just have the license revoked if they mess about.

We aren't going to put a quiz or approval system on a licensed job, the license is the approval system because it can be granted and revoked at will.

If you have too much people minging about on combat medic, then it is the departments own issue.

Its not like the server is there to decide who medical CL4 give licenses to? If you have too much players minging on a job that requires licenses, either revoke them of it or make the "tryout" for the license stricter. This really isn't something that should be even suggested imo.

Suggestion Denied
Hi @Jon dingleshmerg,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.

The Content Team has chosen to deny your suggestion because Combat Medic already require a Medical License in order to be played, which can be always removed by Medical Consultants+ incase they misbehave.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.
