What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Adds something similar to the shield wall that will kick anyone currently in a dimension out of it, to the Foundation Cartographer

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Shadow Realm is less overpowered
- More control over general mingery for important areas


Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Makes raids with dimension slightly harder
- Only buffs Foundation
- Foundation might not be able to control whoever is on cartographer to use it well


Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I think it should be accepted because it offers at least a slight bit of counterplay to the new dimensions.
Only giving it to the Foundation cartographer is important because the GoIs have single hallway entrances which would basically make their bases dimension proof.
Also only giving it to that job would mean there is only a single possible wall, which isnt nearly enough to cover the whole site, meaning one place would have to be chosen to protect especially.

The update is too new to make a suggestion this soon. I do think some sort of barrier or modiciation needs to be put in place. as currently the amount of fuckery that can be done whilst in the dimension is pretty high (Some notable examples are Opening D-block airlocks, Opening interrogation cells, Opening padded room). While one of these is against the rules. it is also impossible to know who is doing it (if CI or minge's on F) without having a 22415, Cartographer or helper key nearby.

True. Tbh it makes anima kinda worthless to even use now unless you're already deep in the enemy lines. I think it's another thing that's REALLY cool on paper, but is just balancing hell. With all the other things that is unbalanced (CI base being hallway hell, TB to the point that unless you use magical tab powers to see one is on to get a reality anchor it'll body a entire raid, etc) it just kinda adds to the pile, so we kinda need something like what is suggested to be able to even THINK about having a solid counter.

Being able to force people out of the dimension while not being SCP-22415 would defeat the purpose of the SCPs and make the Cartographer the only important job that does anything with the dimension.
You do realise that 22415 isn't allowed to force CI out of the dimension?

I do know this.
If the Cartographer Job has the ability to open a portal to the dimension AND get people out of the dimension from wherever they are on the map, then it takes away the thing that makes 22415 special. I just don't really see this as a good addition.

This would be a great solution for issues relating to appearing behind CI while they are hacking CCs, way better then introducing rules that makes helpers feel useless. If placed infront of all SCP CCs you wouldn't be able to get behind CI with no counter player. It also would realistically make sense that all containment cells would have something like this to prevent extra-dimensional trespassing.

I have an idea @Derek White ,

Make a variant of the ERT shield wall that Foundation cartographers are able to place in the normal dimension. The shield would exist in the helpers dimension as well, preventing people from traversing it. They can only place one, though - so they need to place it strategically. Make the shield wall a level 4 hack when looking at either physical post of the shield wall. Level 4s for CI and GOC are relatively easy to complete so that shouldn't be a problem. When the shield wall starts getting hacked, a small buzzing sound or something audible would sound in the normal human dimension as long as you're in close proximity to it. This would require people to constantly check up on the shield wall. However when it's hacked, the shield would appear as off for anyone looking at it.

Just a thought.

like the idea since they have been very OP since release but I feel kick them out is a little to much maybe just act as a scp wall that ert have and they have to shoot it our walk against it for it to break and people not in dimension can see it deteriorating as they use it to slow down their path on how far they get since they only have a limited amount of time anyway and maybe even kicking them out after they break it or not still slowing down their distance.
(basically what recker said didnt even see that until i scrolled up)

...what about instead of kicking them out of the dimension, it just... stops them? so if you're not in the dimension, you can pass just fine. but if you are in the dimension, it's basically a wall, like how the shield wall is for SCPs normally.
