What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Remove the Requirement to be on the Server 6 Hours per week and replace it with different requirements which can be decided by the leadership teams of the Branches.
While i talked with a few different COs, all of them seem to agree that the 6 Hours a week is something managable, which is why i am doing this as a Suggestion to get it Removed at least Lowerd to 4 Hours.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I tried multiple different Keywords but nothing came out which would suggest that this was suggested before.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- It would allow more People to join MTFs and Progress higher in the Foundation ( together with all the different Positves more Nu-7 and E-11 ect would have )
-Less Stress by needing to Scratch 6 Hours per Week together for GMOD which is a lot if you also have a long Commute
- Server is more Open for people needing to work and dont have much time for Games.
- Less Tasks which need to be done alone, and can be done in Teams instead.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
-While there would be more People, some might get less Trainings in and do a bit Worse then others.
- It needs to be replaced by something else so it would Require time from Leadership to

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Fitting 6 Hours of Gmod into a Work week can be quiet a Task, especially if you are Older and Tired after work, removing the Requirement of being on the Server almost everyday or very long over the weekend, would allow for more People in MTF and Leadership Positions
Addional people who are turned off by this Requirement would stay on the Server for a longer ammount of Time, meaning we could Climb up in the Server Rankings and get even more People on this Server.

If you can’t find 6 hours out of the 168 in a week, then let’s be honest, you’re probably not as committed to this as you think. Don’t blame the time. Just admit it’s not a priority for you.
Clearly you don't realize that most people also sleep, and most functional productive adults also have jobs, so if we assume you sleep 8 hours a night, that's 56 hours, so then 168-56 you have 112 hours left,
then let's assume some of us work 5 days a week for 9 hours, that's 45 so 112-45 that's 67 hours remaining,
also let's assume each day you have a 30 minute commute, so 0.5x2x5 is 5 hours too, so then you're left with 62 hours a week.

so then after all those subtractions, including some misc. time usages like cooking, eating, showering etc. you have roughly 8 hours a day remaining for other activities.

So yeah, respectfully, stfu with your 168 hour bullshit.

the real question is: What Job tho?
Is it a walking or home job?
I'm actually a Utility Foreman, started in Electrical Troubleshooting for 8 years.
So I've been around the block for some time.

52 minutes is still the threshold and it's more than reasonable. Anyone with a job and a normal sleep schedule can make that time work. I'm still not convinced that spending 52 minutes a day on something you willingly signed up for, and supposedly enjoy, somehow equates to having a second job or being trapped in some form of digital indentured servitude. If playing a game you already like feels that way, the issue isn’t the time commitment, it’s your level of interest.

Crazy take ngl, mandatory hours for a video game is weird already, but this mindset is what truly ruins it.
It's a paramilitary roleplay server designed to replicate a top secret military facility of course there are baseline requirements to prevent stagnation.

How's the same donny who made it personal when he was advocating FOR people to be able to ban themselves because they might be too addicted to the server then going to turn around and defend hour requirements?

You do not make sense in the slightest pal

This post is some S Tier ragebait

A lot of people can't make time to work in a department, and for those departments that have no limitations like Junior CL4 roles I could see a system changing, but places with limited slots like MTF's, CI, Senior CL4, CL5 positions this just isn't feesible with the exception being cl5.

Do I think people should half to work for X hours like it's a job? No. for those above listed positions do I think another method would work? Not particularly.

for those in the more limited sense you can swap to a "roleplay produced" merit but then you find that it's abritery on if you've done enough decided by someone above you who is working under the same system.

When I made it to ambassador I was happy to work under an hour system as it was a clear goal of how much I needed to allocate my time to gmod, I went above that by miles because I enjoyed my time on. When I moved into director it was a very "Undefined" set of regulations determined by people I didn't see (Sorry to those OG's). Moving into O5 I did have a few -1's that saw me, knew what I was doing, then I had others who logged on once a month and from what I could tell, bounced to two different meetings then logged off without speaking a word to myself or A1 (Atleast to my knowledge).

So on one hand you've got a merit based system where someone coul theorertically get these "Merits" done in one day and then not log on. UK research had this for a while and to my knowledge some people only logged in on a sunday, got the merits done and didn't play the rest of the week. Great, No CL4 execs on to help the Sr's and or do other roleplay. Whereas an hour system means their playtime either needs to be one huge session or spaced out over the week, Promoting the department to atleast have an active face.

is every example going to be like that? no. But Clearly it's the method that works for most people at the moment.

Also this thread definitely should just be a complaint to SL, Department leads or even Site administration of the respective servers.

"If you have haters, you must be doing something right". That's the second time you've spoken about yourself in the third person second person; You've got no choice but to play the rage bait card now to try and salvage your already dwindling reputation.
