I have received a warning for RDM on Mar 5 2023. This was due to me being extremely tired and not thinking twice. I killed a chef as an Alpha-1 operative and got rightfully warned for it. I have not done it since and learned from this mistake

What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
- I am applying for the position of Ethics Committee Member.

One of the biggest reasons on why I am applying for ECM is to create fun and new RP scenarios for people on the server. I have been an ECM in the past and I loved how interactive this position is with others. I wish to assist the Committee in any way I can and to help others where a ECM is required.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:

Experience

One of the biggest advantages I have is my experience in both Senior CL4 and CL5 positions. I have proven that I have the qualities and skills required to reach these positions and to maintain these positions. I have quite a bit of experience on the server aswells, which means that I hold alot of knowledge regarding both the ingame rules and policies aswell as the server rules and policies.

Activity

Ever since my return to the server, I have been on the server pretty much everyday for the past 2 months. I have been extremely active both ingame and OOC, so I am almost always available if people require assistance from an Ethics Member. Whilst I am ingame, I try my best to be active at all times and to rarely go AFK unless I absolutely need to.

Professionalism

Throughout my time on the server, I have been extremely professional. Ofcourse, I know how to have fun, but I always make sure that this fun does not ruin the experience for others and to make sure that it doesn't do any harm to others. When on the job, I am proffesional at all times to others and I make sure to treat others with respect at all times.

Experience in SA/SC

I am aware I have noted down experience, however I would like to go more in-depth about these positions in this section.

Site Advisor

During my time as a Site Advisor, I have shown that I am capable of taking an assigment over a department and assisting them if they require assistance. I know my way around with documentation work when required and can give good ideas which could benefit the team and/or site as a whole. When I was accepted as a Site Advisor, I was also introduced to some hard decisions that have to be made. In my first week, I was apart of a major E-11 hearing which detailed alot of issuess about E-11 at that time and not long after witnessed the demotion of the E-11 COM at that time. I was actively kept in the loop about the circumstances and I most likely would've done the same.

Ethics Committee Member

Whilst these times were a while back and a lot has changed since then, I do think it is important to note down on what I have learned from being a past ECM. During my time as an ECM, I have learned how to create fun RP for everyone. I have created some fun RP scenarios for a bunch of indviduals involved, to give an example, during the release of GOC, Myself and other ECM's attempted to create RP by speaking to GOC and such, setting up meetings and more.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
- In Roleplay, the Ethics Committe together with the O5 Council ensure that the site is functional and operating in a good state. They watch over the Department of Internal Affairs and ensure they operate smoothly. They also approve dangerous tests on SCP's such as 008, Organic tests on 914 and Keter - Keter crosstests. During a heavy containment breach, they have the ability to authorize Advanced Armory, call a Code Black to evacuate all non combatitive personell out of the site and if gets too out of hand detonate the Alpha Warhead

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
- OOC, the Ethics Committee appoint the Director of Internal Affairs, Ethics Committee Assistants and Omega-1 LTCOM/COM's. The Ethics Committee Chairman appoints new Ethics Members. The Committee also votes on changes to the Foundation Legal Codex when needed and make announcements to other personell when changes get made.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:

An encounter with Site-65-A (R-37)

The sound of an alarm could be heard, people yelling through Core Sector, gunshots in the distance. Yup, this sounded like a morning at Site-65. Site Advisor 'Otters' steps out of his office, looking around to see what he could do today. However, he wasn't greeted with an Nu-7 escort, but instead saw the Site Director in a slight panic. 'Otters' walks over to the Director and asks him: "What is going on?". "Otters, be carefull, recently we have seen sightings of the Serpants Hand around" Answers Broda. Whilst looks around, a Hume Field appears below the Core Sector bridge. This catches the eye of both Otters and Broda. After starting at for a while, the field suddenly dissapears. After turning around, a member of the Serpents Hand appears for a brief moment. Broda and Otters both jump, not expecting someone to be standing behind them. In a rush of panic, they request an escort from MTF Nu-7 LTCOM Goondra. The 3 walk to Floor 2, on their way to grab a coffe from SCP-294. However, on floor 2 they get confronted by 2 members of the Serpents Hand. The members request to have a word with Broda, but offer to bring both Otters and Goondra with them. Broda accepts the request and the 3 of them get teleported somewhere else. When they arrive, they get shoved into a Cross-Testing chamber. In this chamber, a destroyed portal remains. It appears this area has been abandoned for a long time. After looking around for a while and examining the equipment, they get confronted by the 2 members. They inform them that outside of this room, there is nothing. A baron wasteland, the war we fought was lost. Broda, Otters and Goondra all wonder why this has occured. The 2 members explain how this is the extinction of the human race, that the test that was conducted using this machine was what caused all of this. Whilst Broda talks to the Serpents Hand member, Goondra attempts to reboot the computer system. It is at this point that they notice a camera in the corner. The tape inside of it reads that the time period is 1988. The Serpents Hand member warns Broda, informing him that at one point, all realities will end, that is is a never ending cycle of death and destruction. At this point they notice that the ground begins to shake, they are told they have 60 seconds to grab whatever they want, before the reality collapses. They grab most of the items in the room, including a Laptop, a Keycard, the video tape and a bible. Upon returning to floor 2, they are greeted by a dozen of Alpha-1 members. They are forced into a storage room and had to explain everything they saw and heard. Broda was forced to give up the video tape. After the questioning, they were send on their way. The 3 meet up in Broda's office, talking about the events that just occured. It is at this point that Otters gets the idea to turn on the laptop, trying to find answers to his many questions. Upon opening the laptop, they received a prompt which showed *INVALID ACCESS*. After sliding in the keycard, they gained access to the system. After browsing the files to gather more information on the project and what occured. They stumbled upon alot of information which they never knew. About that the project was voted on by the entire Overseer council or that the project had 3 tests before the final one. After roughly 15 minutes of browsing, the laptop shuts down the power. It is at this point that they realize what they just have done. After a while, Goondra and Broda resume their duties, however Otters still remains in the office, having alot of unanswered questions. It is at this point that roughly 10 Alpha-1 operatives barge into the office, taking the laptop and keycard with them and abruptly leaving. After a short while, Broda was requested on Floor 3. Not too long after, Otters was called up aswell. Upon entering floor 3, Otters felt a shiver going down his spine, walking through the hallway. After told to go into an office, he was greeted by the Alpha-1 Commander and O5-1. Whilst being questioned, Otters was hesitant to tell the full truth, however hearing a shotgun being loaded next to him changed his name. Otters told everything that was asked, regarding what he learned from the laptop, to what he looked up. After questioning, both Broda and Otters were administered Class-E amnestics. After being administered Class-E amnestics, Otters was escorted out of floor 3 and resumed his normal duties as a Site Advisor.

The Aftermath of Seraph-9 Operative 'Otters'

We are safe at last. The nightmare that was contained in that briefcase is finally destroyed, we were just in time or else it could've destroyed us aswell...

After recollecting his thoughts, Researcher 'Otters' began to think which project he should continue on. He decided to continue his work on SCP-999. After all, the research on Anomalous Item 251 was finished, they decrypted the files and successfully destroyed the anomaly which removed Site-9, which is now referred to as a "Offshore Site". Whilst returning to his work station, Otters noticed a small note that was placed under his research papers. Upon closer inspection, the note contained the words "Good Job" written in a stylish font with a black marker. 'Otters' face whitend, what could this mean? Does this have any relation to Anomalous Item 251? What if the SH members are after him? What if?..... 'Otters' passed out, falling to the ground below his desk. This secret was a mystery too much to handle for him. After a couple of hours, 'Otters' slowly opened his eyes, but quickly opened them fully. He was in a dark room. It feld cold, yet warm. Where am I?, he pondered to himself. Before he could think to himself what happend before a light suddenly turned on, temporarily blinding him. After regaining his vision, 'Otters' realized he was in an office. However, it appears this is a new place, he has never seen this office before. After turning around, he sees a dark figure sitting in a chair, infront of him is a desk, neatly organized and clean. A voice echos through the room. "Please, take a seat." Without much hesitation, 'Otters' takes a seat on the stirm yet comfortable chair. "You have been brought here today for one reason and one reason only." Before 'Otters' could even ask what it was, he was interrupted. "Your work efforts on Anomalous Item 251 has peaked our intrests, we believe your skills could benefit us greatly, so we would like to give you a chance to join us." The dark figure stands up to reveal himself as the Chairman of the Ethics Committee. 'Otters' was shocked, but reluctantly accepts the offer. "We welcome you to the Committee, you will be trained and briefed shortly of your new duties."

I like you otters however I will have to -support due to the fact that you have been constantly regiment hopping from A1 to O1 to SA and now to Nu7. I think you have the right experience to become a member of site command however you do not show dedication to any role you acquire.
Best of luck on your verdict, Tarz.

I support Otters for a thousand or so reasons, professionalism, experience, kindness, roleplay abilities and so many more that to list them all would take more time than it would to climb to ECC and accept this app myself.

Also, to anyone bringing up "regiment hopping", Otters spoke to myself and the rest of the Nu-7 CO team regarding this application and we all encouraged him to go for it.

+/- Neutral i like you otters but you havent at all stuck to a reg and constantly reg hop such as joining E-11 going to A1 then O1 then SA and now nu-7 if you were to properly dedicate time to these regs or departments i would consider changing my verdict

I usually dislike responding to my own app, however I see this is a reoccuring issue that people have with me and that is my "regiment hopping".
I must admit, yes I struggled within MTF's in the past to stay within said regiment for a longer period of time. However I must ask from you, how much do you personally think someone should stay in a regiment or position before they could leave without you considering it regiment hopping. What if you get bored before that? What if you dislike it? Should you remain in said regiment/position and not enjoy your time in it or seek something else instead which you may enjoy more? I have tried out every regiment ever since my return to get a small taste of what each regiment is now. I have drawn my conclusion and in the case of my ECM app getting denied, I am fully comitting to Nu-7 and continue the hard work and time I have already put into the regiment. I have spend well over a month as a Site Advisor before I decided I wanted to move on and try Nu-7 for once. In my eyes, that is enough.

I won't comment further on my app due to me not wanting to flood it, however if it is required, I will edit this post to elaborate on some decisions I have made in the past.

i was going to leave a neutral orginally on this application but hearing this comment i think a +support is good enough you have previous experience in these roles and i believe even if you are denied you will be dedicated to these mtfs overall
